5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Professional Reference, November 21, 2006
This review is from: Theory and Design of Bridges (Hardcover)
This is a massive reference book. The price is correspondingly high, so the target audience is mainly firms and public agencies practicing bridge engineering, as well as individual bridge engineers who are quite serious about their careers.

The quality of the content is relatively good overall, although not all of the content is highly relevant to professional practice, and despite the large size of the book, there are still some important practical topics which recieve inadequate attention.

Nevertheless, the book is extensive in scope, is generally well written, and has no rivals I know of (other than "Design of Modern Highway Bridges" by Taly, which I believe is out of print). As a result, I give it 5 stars.
