5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff is way harder than you think it is.
The medium soft is really a struggle for me to squish, and I haven't had any injuries or abnormal weaknesses. I do have petite hands though. I got the hardest one, the blue one also. WOW. that was so hard that it takes two hands and all my strength to just bend it. Forget squishing it. I'm not complaining though. That's what they are there for. Just beware if this is your...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not sure about this one
I ordered the Thera Putty as exercise for my hands because I have to hold dental instruments. I ordered the medium, however it was much too stiff for me to be able to use. My husband can't even use it. I was going to exchange it for a softer one, but as I was putting the lid back on the plastic container the bottom cracked and my thumb went through it... If I ordered...

Just beware if this is your first time buying this kind of stuff. If in doubt, get the softer one. It's great stuff. and remarkably afterwards I don't feel like I have to run to the sink to get film and smell off of my hands. nothing comes off on you.

This review is from: Thera-Flex Therapy Putty - 4 oz
I ordered the Thera Putty as exercise for my hands because I have to hold dental instruments. I ordered the medium, however it was much too stiff for me to be able to use. My husband can't even use it. I was going to exchange it for a softer one, but as I was putting the lid back on the plastic container the bottom cracked and my thumb went through it... If I ordered it again I would get the softest one.

This review is from: Thera-Flex Therapy Putty - 4 oz - Green - Medium-Firm Resistance
I should have paid more attention to the reviews that complained about how hard this putty is. I have been able to use it, however, by heating it in a microwave oven for about fifteen seconds before using it with each hand.

4.0 out of 5 stars Green Therapy Putty, October 9, 2009

Green putty is very stiff when you first get it, after time and much manipulation this product softens up. It would be best to buy the tan or yellow to go along with the green.

The green, medium-firm resistance is perfect for the 5 year old I bought it for. It is difficult but possible for him to manipulate it.

5.0 out of 5 stars OT for little ones, June 26, 2009
This review is from: Thera-Flex Therapy Putty - 4 oz - Green - Medium-Firm Resistance
I was just looking for a few simple tools to strengthen my son's hands. This one seems to be working well. We hide things in it. He does a lot of stretching, pulling and manipulating of the putty. So its like doing therapy without even realizing it!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Right Resistance! Good Product!, February 2, 2012
I got this for my brother for Christmas. The Coral Color Medium Resistance Thera-Flex Putty appears to be great for working on his grip. He's 68 and not an exerciser. He's got pretty weak hands and wanted something to work on his hand strength. He's got issues with opening jars and such. This putty is excellent for hand/ all finger grip motions. He says the resistance starts pretty hard and then loosens up a bit with working it. It's great for doing something while watching TV.

There are quite a few resistance levels and I wasn't at all sure I'd end up with the right one. Looks like medium was a great answer for him.

3.0 out of 5 stars Medium Soft is Too Hard, November 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought it for my 10 year old grandson to manipulate during dental treatment to keep his hands away from his face but it's too hard. After warming it up in the microwave for 20 seconds, it was warm and pliable and felt great. However, it cooled and hardened within minutes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing results!, August 25, 2011

Used this theraputty for my four year old. Hand and finger strength improved in a very short time frame. He actually enjoys playing with it. I hide coins or beans it and he find them. The results in his hand and finger strength has been amazing. It is worth the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars thherapist's little helper, August 23, 2011

My therapist recommended this product as part of a home exercise program following a finger injury. She was very pleased when I showed it to her. It is holding up well and she came up with many challenging and "painful" exercises to perform. I was familiar with therapy putty, but I thought it would be easy to do. Wrong! I get quite a workout and feel it has really improved my strenght and function
