Poor quality materials, but it works,

I bought this because I moved from California where you can't drink the water, but it does not eat your hair and dry your skin like the water in the Illinois village I moved to. I tried the Sprite (expensive shower filter head) and found the filter lasted for less than 2 weeks, before I could smell the chlorine. The Thera shower works in theory, but the chrome is really plastic and the hose is crappy and the base cap will crack after a couple of months. I took a cheap handheld shower that had a more flexible hose and a softer plastic cap, and deeper holder and attached the Thera Shower head it works fine. Like others have stated the shower head does not fit in the holder well. It does filter out the chlorine and lasts for about 3 months with one person using it. My hair and skin have improved greatly. I would recommend this product if you have real hard water issues and want softer hair and skin, but you need to make adjustments for the poor quality materials and design.
