I use it every morning and every night.
gale
The drops don't do any good at all and leave my eyes feeling "stretched," the way overdry skin feels.

Other eye drops burn my eyes but this is very soothing and non irritating.

I have been wearing contacts for over 10 years and over the last year or so, I've developed severe dry eyes. I tried everything and the only thing that REALLY WORKS is TheraTears!! It is a miracle! Anyone who suffers in agony with dry eyes should try TheraTears!

I have severe allergies, and the antihistamines I take on a daily basis cause my eyes to dry out. Of all the eye drops I've tried, Thera Tears work the best and feel the most natural and comfortable in my eyes. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone for mild to severe dry eyes.

Bottom line: True "Preservative Free" solutions don't come in bottles, especially not a big 1-ounce bottle like this one. There's simply no other way to keep a bottled solution from going bad without some sort of preservative. Without preservative, the bacteria/pathogens will get inside the bottle and survive, multiply and release its toxins in the solutions which is obviously bad for everyone.

If you read the label carefully you'll notice it says "Preservative Free in the Eye". There's a difference between "Preservative Free" and "Preservative Free in the Eye". Apparently there's a different type of preservative that researchers claim "disappears" in the eye. My GUESS is that the pH/conditions in the eye are different leading to the conversion of the preservative into a different compound, or maybe the preservative reacts with something in the eye and becomes a substance that no longer functions as a preservative. If there are any ophthalmologists privy to this research please clarify and elaborate. Either way, the preservative is in the bottle and is squirted directly into the eye. The new product (preservative converted in eye) probably no longer functions as a preservative "in the Eye", but is it harmful? Ophthalmologists have their suspicions.

The truly preservative free stuff whether it be TheraTears, Systane, or Refresh, come in small, sterile vials/containers, not bottles. These are referred to as "single-use" and small aliquots of the truly "preservative free" solution are contained in the sterile containers. The idea is to use up the small portions, once opened, before it goes bad. A big bottle like this product must have some sort of preservative to keep the bacteria from surviving in there.

Now, does a little bit of preservative matter? Maybe?

I regularly have dry eyes and typically used the "cheap stuff" (Clear Eyes; etc) to try to treat them. After a recent trip to my eye doctor, he recommended I try a drop that doesn't have any preservatives. He said sometimes eye drops with preservatives can end up actually drying my eyes out even more. TheraTears was one of the brands he recommended. I am more than satisfied! These drops soothe my eyes and contain NO preservatives. They also stay put in my eyes when applied, instead of running out the corners of my eyes due to being so watery (like other brands were). Highly recommend!

I developed severe dry eyes after Lasik eye surgery and I tried many different brands of eye drops. Thera Tears is the only one that I would recommend.

This product is pretty good and I've been used it for quite a few years. It's really good for someone who works in front of the monitor a lot.

I had Lasik surgery about a year and a half ago. My eyes have been very dry since then. These drops lubricate my eyes to make them feel more comfortable. My eyes get tired and irritated, especially in the mornings and after I have been looking at the computer all day. They are supposed to be healthier for your eyes and easier to use than the little tubes of drops that don't have preservatives in them.
