About Exercise Balls:
Using an exercise ball for training develops core strength and flexibility to help keep muscles and joints functional and safe from injury. With exercises as simple as sitting on the ball and bouncing lightly, core strength is developed as your body must continually find and maintain balance. Exercise balls also help you find and maintain a neutral lumbar spine position helping to ease lower back pain and develop better posture. From merely sitting on the ball, to doing structured aerobic and strength exercise routines, exercise balls can be used in many, many ways that support healthy fitness habits.

Product Description

Thera-Band Exercise Balls are inflatable balls used to strengthen muscles, balance training, improve posture and help prevent back pain. Uses for the Thera-Band Ball include: exercise, gym, balance, fitness, yoga, pilates, resistance and stability. Pump not included.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thera-Band Exercise Balls, July 4, 2005
Definitely professional grade, unlike what I had before. Instructions are easy and complete, ball is perfect for exercising, stretching, pilates and core and strength training. It is everything it was advertised to be.

5.0 out of 5 stars A vast improvement over my previous exercise ball!, February 12, 2007
This review is from: Thera-Band Exercise Balls (Misc.)
I previously owned a Flexaball brand stability ball; I'm not sure if it was defective or just poor quality, but I needed to add air every time I used it, which became extremely tedious. Finally, I decided to get myself a high quality ball, and after much research (including many recommendations from others), I chose Thera-Band, and I couldn't be more pleased. I have the red 55-centimeter ball, which seems to work very well for my height (just under 5'5", but recommendations for ball height can vary widely). Unlike my previous ball, the Thera-Band NEVER needs additional air added; I've owned it for about a year now, and there has been absolutely no noticeable deflation. In addition, my new Thera-Band is burst-resistant, with material that feels thicker and more durable than my old ball. The only (minor) issue with this ball is that it does not come with its own pump; I just use my old one, but you could also buy one separately and/or use a bicycle pump. Overall, however, I've found this ball to hold up well under regular use (about once per week), and I would definitely recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I expected, February 20, 2006
I bought the 55" exercise ball. It is perfect for my hight (5'4"). I liked how when I was buying this item, that it gave you a scale of ball sizes to your hieght. The ball came with an exercise chart the gives you some examples. Don't forget to buy an air pump if you don't have one. I would have forgotten that if a friend didn't let me about it.

I like it a lot though, and highly recommend this brand for an exercise ball.
