The Wobble Board provides multi-planar challenge, meaning multiple planes of instability for the most challenging training, while a Rocker Board provides uni-directional challenge, allowing for one plane of instability at a time. This is another excellent tool for core training! My trainer uses this on me as well every other workout and while it took a bit to figure out the balancing part, it really works!

Again, while it may seem like you aren't getting much out of it because it's more like trying to stay on a disc that's on water, it's working even though you don't know it.

I have lost more weight using this and balance disc cushion than by aerobics and weight training combined in a shorter period of time.

You will sweat like a dog and perhaps be frustrated. You'll have to get over that, but keep yourself on it and think of it as a game. It's a great tool in the buldge battle! I highly recommend this tool as a main stay in your workout regime.

I certainly do not have great balance (I also bought and extreme balance board and that is really hard for me). Even with one foot I mastered this board within a couple of days. I think the bottom interface with the floor is too broad relative to other wobble boards. I am going to try the fitter first product because it looks a bit more difficult.

Also, the rough surface of this product is hard on you hands if you want to do push-ups on it or other upper body balance exercises

This is a great way to work on core balance. I've used many wobble boards and balance boards at Physical Therapy, Chiropractors and Pilates, but I like this one best. It's only one piece, so there's no set up, and it's solid so it won't break.
