Love the Portability of this compress. Therapeutic time is only about 25 min but great convenience for travel. Refreezes in about 1 hr. Have 2 for rotating when needed.

works really well. i can even walk around a little bit with it on my knee. stays quite cold for around 30 mins or so of use. i can actually pack it in my lunch cooler and take to work with it against another lunchpail ice pack and 2 hrs later when i remove it to use, it is almost like coming out of the freezer- nice! nice to have the velcro band/strap as now i can keep the pack in place while sitting in chair or couch, etc. the strap wraps around my knee two full times.

I bought some of these 14 months ago and LOVE them. I keep two at work and two at home. They are perfect for my arthritic ankle when it's aching in the evening (heat only makes it worse). It's easy to apply by myself and can go over a sock or right on your skin. You'll get more bang for your buck, however, by putting it directly on your skin.

Other reviewers are correct, you get 20-25 minutes of cold therapy. If I need more I can switch to another one. They are soft, pliable and shape well to fit your body part, provided you are using the right size wrap for the right body part:-) No problems with leaking. The Velcro does collect lint and has to be cleaned from time-to-time if you want it pristine looking, but not a requirement if functionality is all you're interested in.

The good: it worked well while it lasted.

The bad: it failed after only a few cycles. (I think the freezing did it in.) Then it makes a mess.

Cannot recommend this, especially given that there are so many other good similar products to choose from.

I purchased 2 of these to help relieve my neck/shoulder pain. The designed of the cloth cover is good that it holds the heat/cold pack intact. However, I've been mainly using them for heat and one of them was leaking the gel that I had to throw it away. I still use the remaining one for heat and sometimes cold. The compact size makes it easy for me to take on my travel.
