Good Reproducable Material for CBT Counseling,
By
This review is from: Therapeutic Exercises for Children: Guided Self-Discovery Using Cognitive-Behavioral Techniques (Paperback)
This is the workbook companion to the manual by the same author. The materials are well-designed and the directions for the children are clear. The drawings are pretty cute as well, which helps engage the child in the activities. This is a good start for a therapist's toolbox for CBT activities.

Excellent book for working with children. Fun exercises for children to do as CBT homework. With support from a therapist, this book helps children identify their feelings, thoughts and behaviors in a format that they can understand.

Great workbook for using CBT with kids,
This review is from: Therapeutic Exercises for Children: Guided Self-Discovery Using Cognitive-Behavioral Techniques (Paperback)
This is my favorite book for children's therapeutic exercises and homework. It is engaging, enjoyable, and helps to make CBT concepts clear for children. I use this one in my sessions far more regularly than any of the other exercise/ homework books that I own. It's perfect for elementary school age children, and with some modifications, it can be used with middle school kids and pre-schoolers. I've used it with children at a wide range of intellectual levels and with many different types of behavioral and emotional issues. I've found it to be helpful nearly all the time in assisting kids in understanding how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors fit together and how they can make changes in their thoughts and actions. It can be a fun and useful tool for children's therapy sessions, and can be used by parents to help kids with therapy homework.

I have used this workbook with elementary school children to help relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression. It is well spelled out and creative in teaching CBT skills. I've also been able to modify these worksheets for both individuals with autism spectrum disorders and for older children.
