Anita Zimmerman's review noted the lack of a CD with practice tests. While that existed in the first edition, the second edition comes with a website instead, including a killer test generator. Hundreds of practice questions are available. It is password-protected; when you receive your book look right inside the front cover for the website and your scratch-off password.

On June 27, 2011 I passed the NCETM and I am now Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage. This book and the accompanying practice tests and games that were included on the LLW.com website added a fun way of retaining the information presented and I found them to be a wonderful resource. This book definitely lives up to its title of "Plain & Simple". I honestly don't think Laura Allen could have made it much simpler for anyone to study only the information specifically needed to pass the exam with a lot of fluff.

This book had greatly prepared me for the exam. She made fun to study with the companion of on-line questions and games that also helped. Laura also made everything easy to understand. I will refer this book to my fellow classmates that have yet to take the exam. Needless to say; I passed the exam!

This book is great if you are preparing to take the NCBTMB! I loved the online material and the book is a great tool for review! I highly recommend this to all massage therapists!

Tells you what you need to know and has good practice questions. The companion website is helpful and even allows you to view an electronic copy of the book so you don't have to cart it with you everywhere. Fun review games add a nice change of pace for studying.

I was unhappy that a CD practice test was not included with this book. I think that is important. I don't think I would have bought this book, had I realized that it was not included. I also think that there is too much unimportant information in the beginning of the book. For those of us who want to study, the information that we read needs to be important to the test taker.
