5.0 out of 5 stars Dress Rehearse for National Exam
Given the several books available to review for the NCE, this is my all time favorite. Especially if your best way to review for tests is to simulate the exam. The questions are on a par for those currently appearing. This is the only book I have found that presents topics randomly - most other sources drill on one topic at a time. 1.0 out of 5 stars Refer to this book for questions ONLY not for answers.
I was very disappointed by this book. I bought it to review the information I had learned at massage therapy school and to prepare myself for the national exam. It only lead me to question further what I thought I DID know. The answers provided were often simplistic and incomplete and at other times outright wrong (I checked). I expect that if answers are going to be...

Given the several books available to review for the NCE, this is my all time favorite. Especially if your best way to review for tests is to simulate the exam. The questions are on a par for those currently appearing. This is the only book I have found that presents topics randomly - most other sources drill on one topic at a time. (Note: this author's next edition follows the one topic at a time method - that's too bad) Unlike most answer keys, this author gives a short blurb about the answer. This is especially helpful for topics that may be totally new to a graduate of a massage school - not all curriculums are the same and this at least gives an intro to new topics. As in all answer keys - there are some typos - I tell students to just move on - don't get hung up on that aspect of publishing.

The diskette with the book when loaded onto a computer really can relieve the anxiety of taking the exam - hence Dress rehearsal!

I was very disappointed by this book. I bought it to review the information I had learned at massage therapy school and to prepare myself for the national exam. It only lead me to question further what I thought I DID know. The answers provided were often simplistic and incomplete and at other times outright wrong (I checked). I expect that if answers are going to be provided they should be accurate and specific. Prospective exam candidates would be better off reviewing their old textbooks.
