I didnt have the shipping issues the other reviewer did--my bed arrived from fed-ex exactly on time and packed up perfectly. Maybe the only downside was i had to haul the mattress to my actual apartment as the fed-ex guy only got it as far as my elevator.
As for the bed itself, super comfy. I wish they had made the full-size with the air-venting bottom foam cuz it does get a teensie bit warm, but i sleep with my window open so its not a big deal for me. You cut open the vacuum plastic packaging and the thing unfolds and inflates itself. The smell took a few days to dissipate, but it really wasnt horribly smelly to begin with.
Overall, very satisfied with this purchase and at 399 shipping included, really cannot be beat!

The mattress arrived in about a week, which for shipping a 90lb mattress from CA to the suburbs of Boston MA is perfectly acceptable. FedEx Ground is the cheapest way to ship and the only one that makes sense. There was a small tear in the plastic wrap and a corresponding dirt mark on the cover. Not a problem. I'm sure it will come out when I wash the cover. Mattress Shop did get my address slightly wrong which delayed delivery one day. I had it delivered to my office and they left off my company name. The delivery driver made no attempt to find me among the half dozen companies in my building. Since I had been tracking the package, when I saw the problem, I called FedEx and gave them the omitted company name. FedEx notified Sleep Shop when the mattress could not be delivered and Melanie from Sleep Shop called me the next morning and would have corrected the problem, had I not already done so.
The mattress is rolled up and compressed. It's the width of the bed by about 18 inches across. It's awkward to carry. Better done by two, but I hauled it into my third floor condo with some effort. Set up is easy and it is cool to watch the mattress expand. There is a smell, but it did not bother me at all and already seems to have dissipated.
I've never slept on a foam mattress before and it is incredible. With my lower back supported, I wake up with no stiffness. I've only slept on it for two nights, but I'm already used to it. I can understand what some have said about the mattress being warm to sleep on. My AC is usually on from late Spring to Fall since I dislike high humidity. I dont think it will be a problem. I am going to buy a mattress pad since removing and washing the mattress cover looks like I will be a major hassle. That should keep things cooler.

I just bought this, and am totally THRILLED. This is the deal of the year. Better than the high price brand (better cover, greater thickness, good construction), all at one third the price! Received in excellent condition. Easy to transport and set up - great for moving into tight places. So COMFORTABLE. My bad back never felt as good as this, and I'm sleeping great. I just put it on a wood platform bed, no box spring, and it is just as high as my other beds. I highly recommend this mattress from this company. Best bed I ever bought in my life!
