Since I was a kid, I've struggled with dandruff. I've tried all the over-the-counter stuff--Head & Shoulders, Selsun Blue, Neutrogena T-Gel--everything. I even tried some prescription shampoos prescribed by my dermatologist that smelled like road tar but were basically ineffective. Nothing really seemed to work, not for very long anyway. Luckily, I stumbled across Mediceuticals' X-Folate. This stuff, plain and simple, really works and has finally rid me of the flakes. I use it once a week every week, and it's very rare that I have any signs of dandruff anymore. I've used it for a couple years now and swear by it. The smell is slightly road tarry, but nowhere near as bad as other shampoos I've used. But even if it smelled like limburger cheese, I'd still slap it on my head because it's that effective. I've found that the thickness of the shampoo itself tends to vary depending upon who I've ordered it from. I don't know if some places are cutting it with water or what, but it doesn't seem to affect the efficacy of the product. Using it once a week, the 12-ounce bottle lasts me just about a year. If you're cursed by chronic flakes, don't even think twice, just order it. You can thank me later.
