5.0 out of 5 stars The Wall as it SHOULD be experienced!, February 6, 2001

Untill I received this CD set in the mail yesterday, I wasn't really a huge fan of The Wall. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it is not my favorite Pink Floyd Album... Well,,, until now!! This is the most incredible performance! I was expecting a so so sounding live recording, but was I ever shocked when I put in the first disc! The sound quality is superb. The songs, to me anyway, are far more moving as performed live. Many subtle variances throughout add to the more realistic feeling. It is guaranteed to move the soul.. The different versions of the songs are so good it's unbelievable. "In The Flesh" (both I and II), "Another Brick in the Wall" (both I and II), "Mother" (oh God this one is awesome too!!), "Run Like Hell" (Oh my God in Heaven I don't even have words for this version of it!!) Just get this CD set, have a few listens, and enjoy!!!! Oh yeah,, remember Saucerful of Secrets?? The crazy piano work and freaky organ stuff?? It's here man!!! Interjected in the middle of Run Like Hell.. it's so freakin cool .. Damn,, just get this CD set.

5.0 out of 5 stars I can hear the vocals!!, March 20, 2004
This review is from: Is There Anybody Out There (Audio CD)
This album just blew me away. Play it loud!! All the music comes through clear as a bell!! The vocals were excellent. The Piano was awsome, it was like I was there. The music was staged perfectly from the drums to the keyboards to the guitars and vocals.
I have the Jap remix and this album blows it out of the water.
I have a fairly 'hi-end' system which I'm sure helps.
Anyways I loved this one far better than the rest.
The book is great, a true keeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Increadible, November 7, 2000

This review is from: Is There Anybody Out There (Audio CD)
In this disc Pink Floyd exprerses their control over the audience, giving a completely new idea of the band. The enviroment created by the public outcry is encouraging and adds to the increadible performance of Pink Floyd. This disc is not better than the original studio edition as some songs so sound better and others don't. Anyway this disc is an invaluable part of any collection

these cd's are amazing, you get a different feel about the preformance than you do when you listen to the studio CD. Buy it if you are a huge fan because it's cost has risen considerably.

This live concert from 20 years ago is simply awesome! It matches the quality and feeling put into Pulse. This limited release contains a very well put together booklet that any Pink Floyd fan must have. Grab it before its gone!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Wall LIVE!!!! A Floyd Fan's dream, May 5, 2000

I think this live album is great. As a collector of live music and an avid concert goer, I highly recommend this album. The limited edition with the book is only for the hardcore fan as the music is the same on both versions. This was my first concert I ever went to when they performed in L.A. I purchased some bootlegs of this concert but they sounded awful. This is outstanding sound. I especially love the cuts 'Comfortably Numb', 'Run Like Hell', and 'Another Brick In The Wall Pt 2'. The booklet was nice as it interviewed the band members and gave their versions of the splitting up story. I disagree with some people that the Floyd after Waters departure was no good. They put out some excellent stuff and the shows were always top notch. Getting back to this recording, you can feel like you are actually there with a good sound system. It is true that this album was Waters' triumph. He is a real genius when it comes to writing music. I encourage all Floyd fans to pick this recording up.

5.0 out of 5 stars great, inspiring, terrific, June 20, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Is There Anybody Out There (Audio CD)
I have been a fan of Pink Floyd for many years. I feel that their music is truly inspiring, and that when one listens to it, one can hear what has inspired them. This is more apparent in this album than any other. I feel that this is true with all live music in general. You can hear their passion in songs like "Comfortably Numb" (which was by the way done SOOOO great on this album. It is truly something that all Pink Floyd fans should own. All music lovers in general would enjoy this album.
