In the hands of the wrong listening crowd?,
By A Customer
This review is from: There Is Enough for Everyone (Audio CD)
I noticed that for the most part, people who've discredited this album are basing it on the fact that it's style is a bit different than the first one (that or they weren't one of the many overjoyed fans of the first release to begin with) or worse, because it doesn't sound like Enigma! Since when was it bad thing for a band NOT to sound like a clone of another band? If you want to hear Enigma, whom I also like as well, I suggests you listen to them instead -or even check out one of their other clones (which there are hundreds of, trust me). Starseeds definitely have their own sound which is beautiful and mesmerizing. Yes - I also I like Parallel Life (my favorite cd of all time!) a lot more simply because it is more closely aligned with my taste. This album differs in that it is a bit more psychedelic, with less of the cosmic, newage touch of its precedessor, but that certaily doesn't make it an unworthy album by any means, in fact it is quite the opposite. The warm ambience of Parallel Life is still heavily present on tracks like Strange Planet, Gobi Underwater and Experimental Recyling Chair. Be Open and There is Enough for Everyone are more trippy and colourful tunes with very addictive beats. In fact, fans of spacey, ethereal trip-hop will most likely embrace this album with open arms. Not to mention Regina has an ummatched seductiveness to her voice, which ranges from cooing highs to sulty lows. The Starseeds are a highly original, underrated band, deserving of more credit, exposure, and musically appreciative listeners.

The Starseeds are one of those bands that make you feel like your spirit is floating. Yes it's different than there first alblum. Which is another must have. I don't know why they aren't more widely listened to? This guy who plays the instruments is awesome and the singing is heavenly! Try it you'll like it.

score me the ages....,

Don't worry, I gave the first CD 4 stars too! This sophmore effort is just as stellar (pun intended)! Pure-quality vocalist trip-hop combined with slow-motion breaks defines this duo. The first disc is a planetarium-show soundtrack; this one is Black Box Recorder on Soma! Sensual, slippery, sweet & spacy. Seduce someone with music that scores the ages!
