Book Description

Do you ever feel as if your two steps forward result in one step back? As Latter-day Saints, we are actively engaged in building the kingdom of God. But because we have been called to the high standard of perfection and commissioned to pattern our lives after Jesus, we are frequently more aware of our shortcomings than of our progress. Sometimes we even question our standing before God or doubt our capacity to fulfill our mission here on earth and quality for eternal life hereafter. Yet, as author Robert L. Millet shows us in this inspirational book, we can find peace and hope here and now, even though we sometimes fall short of the ideal. We may not be there yet, but we are likely closer than we think.

Editorial Reviews

Should be required reading!, September 18, 2006 By Pamela This is a wonderful book. I needed to hear all that Bro. Millet had to say and I'm grateful for his wisdom and eloquence. I, too, feel that I have a real chance of making it back home. This is a book that every Latter-day Saint should read! Pam Martin, Chickasha, OK Uplifting and thought provoking., October 17, 2005 By MARCIA This book was wonderful, so uplifting. I now really do feel that I can make it back. It seems that we do worry about whether we can and we do forget the promises that the Lord has made to us. I appreciate Bro. Millet for his insight and for giving me the opportunity to not only believe in Christ, but believe Christ. Excellent!, April 18, 2006 By Kathy This book is like a series of letters from a parent or older and wiser friend. Extremely spiritual, easy to read and hard to put down. I especially appreciated the sections on God's will versus my will. You'll do alot of marking in your scriptures with uplifting verses. I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Letter from a Friend May 24, 2006
By Katamb
I love all of Robert Millet's books, but this one was especially personal for me. We all wonder if we're doing enough in our brief mortal life, and if we sat down with Heavenly Father for a personal interview what He would say to us. This book helped me examine my life thus far, what I'm doing now and what I need to concentrate on in the next few years. It's very positive and uplifting. Keep your Scriptures handy because you'll want to look up alot of verses. It's a small format book with short chapters and read very fast, but I spent hours thinking about each subject.
