1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of carbon
All im going to say is look at the sort of people who like this 'gore-grind' cr*p and rated this 5 stars. They can barely string two words together, or even spell for that matter...

.................Ill guess you will like embalmer. Another Gore based Death Metal Band (one of the lucky last to get any decent recognition (in Australia anyway)) Which at most is alive with blast beats and indeciferable lyrics. They are kind of cool, You can actually hear what the solid state distorted guitars are playing (If Death Metal music could be assciated with melody, I guess you could hear a definable melody for each song) which is probably a first for Death metal, And the Vocals are sweet, Very varied, from Deep throat gargles to spline tingling hich screams. Not one for People that are into new metal (7 string guitars, Baggy Pants, Boss DJ equipment and guest Rappers), more one for a Death metal fan, That Likes Cannibal Corpse, Broken Hope and Nile and any other Band among that same nature.

TURN IT UP LOUD AND FREAK OUT ALL OF YOUR NEIGHBOURS!

5.0 out of 5 stars Raw in every aspect...a must buy!!!, January 16, 2002
By A Customer
Though not much has been heard about Embalmer since this release, it's amazing how this piece alone has sold so many copies within the death metal community. When I was first introduced to this disc, I was told they were from Cleveland and at first I was thinking "What, if anything, comes out of Cleveland that is any good???" But once I started to spin this disc, I was amazed. These guys are raw and you feel you are in a sludge of utter chaos within a chasm of screaming bloodied angels. This is the type of disc that you would benefit from listening with a headseat to fully experience and appreciate the various hooks and riffs these guys spew out. Though Embalmer, to my understanding, is no longer together, keep their memory alive by purchasing this disc. You will not be sorry!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent..., August 26, 2005

Even doe this band has broken up their still get play on my stereo daily... Embalmer's "there was blood everywhere" is great gore. Its funny when you see people bashing gore grind because gore is hard to get into wel because its gore and music this brutal...If you can't handle real brutality stick with carcass , napalm and brutal truth those bands dont even make music anymore. I admit i like me some old carcass and brutal truth because they started the grind thing but now its all about gore-grind and gutturel dm and if you cant get with that? Get f*cked. Later b*tches.

4.0 out of 5 stars solid and extreme death metal, March 2, 2009
By
I think this was my first real death metal album since Sepultura's "Chaos AD" doesn't really count for the genre. I got it used at a record store in the late 90's and it blew me away. The vocals are out of this world for death metal/grindcore and run the gamut of high pitched shrieks to deep guttural growls. It's really an intense record and not for everyone. Musically these guys aren't much more then just blast beats and thrashing around but on something like this who cares? If you want something that is so extreme and brutal it will blow the lid of your CD player and leave most new death metal bands running home with their tails between their legs then buy this. If that doesn't sound appealing then don't waste your money.
