Editorial Reviews

It's the return of The Herbaliser, the seven strong lords of loopy, soundtrack inspired funk-infused hip-hop (or hip-hop-infused funk, depending on your perspective.15 slabs of super heavy, psychedelic, beat-laden, post-hip-hop audio for your ears and mind, from the undulating wobbly dub ''Welcome to Extravagance'', through the electronic takeover of ''Mother Dove'', to the manic spitting flute funk of ''Take 'Em On'' hitting you right in your boogie nerve.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well done December 11, 2012
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
If the last 7 cuts had the impact of the first 8, I think this would be off the charts good. Overall, I like it a lot. Some really creative tunes with different instrumentation, sounds and vocals (or not). Bought based on hearing one cut - Sad State of Affairs - which is excellent - and knowing they have influenced other artists I've listened to. Happy I did.

- revised note - after multiple listens, the whole thing is really solid. Super effort, love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars They keep getting better November 1, 2012
Format:Audio CD
Most albums are snacks, but this one is a grand banquet of sounds. There are so many ideas and styles blending together to make something that is unique with flavors dark, deep, and rich. There are also plenty of grooves to be had.
