I bought this album on a lark and wow is it something. It's gentle, pretty and lacks the pretentiousness a lot of indie music wallows in. It has has that most elusive of traits, heart.

A persistent favorite...,

...constantly in the top 10 artists in rotation on my iPod. This album is melodic, flowing, folksy but gritty. The lyrics are intelligent, the vocals hypnotic without seeming monotonous. "Wolves" is my favorite song with its dark yet whimsical lyrics and slow-building suspense as layers of instruments and vocals are added. There is not a single song that jars the "mood"; altogether a very pleasant listening experience. If future work by this group is as consistent and similar sounding, it will be on my "Must Have" list for sure.
