5.0 out of 5 stars A must for every little girl! March 1, 2012
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This book is a must-have for all little girls! I bought this for my 3-year-old daughter as we love "There Was an Old Lady." The rhymes in this book are hysterical and the illustrations are colorful and engaging. Highly recommend it!

As a preschool teacher, I knew from the title that is could be sung to the "I Know An Old Lady" tune, but wasn't sure about the content even after reading the description. I'm a HUGE fan of sing-along stories and the "I Know An Old Lady" books are no exception. I didn't know what to expect, but when I read through it, I was glad I bought it. So far, ny children [even the boys] have asked me to read it everyday [15 days and counting!]. I highly recommend it for any and everyone who loves sing-along stories and "I Know An Old Lady".

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute story! February 23, 2013

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
My 4-year-old has this memorized. It's a fun, easy story that's a quick read before bedtime. Not a classic, but a fun little story.

2.0 out of 5 stars Just okay October 27, 2012
By CWagner
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The book looked very cute and had potential, but it failed to produce a reason why she was eating all of the various items and people. The ending rhymes but that is it. It is not cute and does not come up with a reason behind eating the items like The Little Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves, Bat, etc...... books.

1.0 out of 5 stars can i give it zero stars? January 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Don't waste your money on this book. It's a poor re-imagination of the Alan Mills song "there was an old woman who swallowed a fly". My kids [5 and 3] seemed confused and didn't really like it. I did like the style of illustration. In the end not worth it with so many kids books to choose from.

5.0 out of 5 stars Birthday gift for my 4 year old niece, December 9, 2012
By Lori
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Good quality and great illustrations. Lots of silly giggles! I bought this book because my brother had been trying to sing the
original Old Lady Who swallowed a Fly to my niece and I thought she might find this book fun as well. She thought it was silly but wanted it read over & over.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute book - But... November 14, 2012
By LadyB
Format:Hardcover
This is a very cute book. The graphics are adorable and definitely draw you into the story. And we certainly love the rhyming. However, the continued reference to burping -- well, I could have done without. I just don't see that as cute and endearing. I would have loved to give it more stars, but with all the burping references...I just can't.
