5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Children's Ministers!!
I am a Children's Minister & get this book for the older siblings of any of our new babies that are born! It is an excellent way to assist parents & children in the transition of having a new brother or sister! Check out the "Big Sister" edition of this book as well!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected
This book is heavily religious. I would not have bought it if I knew there would be bible verses on each page. If you are a religious person, this is the book for you. If not, don't bother. We did not fill out any pages, and donated it to the church rummage sale.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Gift for the Big Sib!, May 31, 2004
By
This review is from: There's a Brand-New Baby at Our House and...I'm the Big Brother! (Paperback)
This interactive, colorful book kept our proud new big brother engaged for several hours over several sittings. He loves the fact that he has his "own book" about his special accomplishments, and loves working on it as I work on his baby brother's book. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars We love this book!, May 11, 2006
This is a fun book for new siblings (there's a sister version, too). I've given several as new baby gifts to the siblings. My son has one now that he's a big brother, too. The personalization makes it really special for the kids. Especially appropriate for ages 3-8, but will work for younger siblings, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A scrapbook, March 29, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
When I purchased this, I did not realize it is a scrapbook for an older child to fill in, which is my fault for not reading the description carefully enough. That said, it would be a great activity to do with a 5+ year old sibling in preparation for the new baby. It was not age appropriate for my 2 year old however.

2.0 out of 5 stars Better without the bible verses, August 2, 2005
By
This review is from: There's a Brand-New Baby at Our House and...I'm the Big Brother! (Paperback)
This is actually a wonderful book for older sibs. However, I purchased it without realizing its religious bent. As I am not a Christian, it was not suitable for our household. I wish the author would publish a similar book, minus the bible verses.

3.0 out of 5 stars cute memory book, October 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
You know, I got this as a teaching tool for my older son to prepare him for the new baby, but it was more like a memory book for him to put together (like a scrapbook). There was space for photos and pictures for him to draw. It asked about what they like to do together and for him to share special memories. Perhaps its a better tool for 6-8 year olds who are a bit more independent and can do this themselves (instead of have a parent do it for him). But overall, it is very sweet.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, February 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: There's a Brand-New Baby at Our House and...I'm the Big Brother! (Paperback)
The book arrived well packed and on time. I wasn't clear at all that it was a) religious and b) a fill in all about the child book
The description is misleading and should be changed.
It was cheap enough not to bother returning it, but I won't be giving it to my nephew.
Disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for the new big brother., August 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This will be a great workbook for my grandson who will soon be a new big brother. I think he'll feel special as we work on it together. This was a "used" book but it's in great shape and came quickly.

3.0 out of 5 stars For older big brothers, February 22, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book is not appropriate for a big brother younger than six or so. It requires a lot of work and concentration for the reader to "fill in the empty spaces." It is more of a "workbook" book than a "reading book." The child will need adult assistance to "complete" this autobiography.
