We have found this book to be very helpful in helping our older daughter adjust to her new sister. It is fun, interactive with lots of vibrant and clever art. We will be giving this book to all our friends who have older siblings and are expecting a new baby.

This book is a wonderful treat for the older sibling. Our daughter was almost 4 when our son arrived and we gave her this book. She had been an only child for awhile so the adjustment to older sibling was difficult for her. I made certain to sit down with her periodically after the new baby came home to work on her story and write how she felt about the baby. This book helped us carve out special time focused just on her.

Our son just turned one one June 18th and my daughter and I again sat down and finished the last several pages of the book. She loved looking at old pictures of herself. The best thing about the book is that our daughter now has a wonderful record of her feelings about the new baby as well as pictures of her as a baby, her with our son, and our son (the baby) during his first year. This book really made our daughter feel special and will continue to do so whenever she looks back at it.

I am a Children's Minister & get this book for the older siblings of any of our new babies that are born! It is an excellent way to assist parents & children in the transition of having a new brother or sister! Check out the "Big Brother" edition of this book as well!

We're waiting for our second child to arrive, and my 4 year old has been loving filling out this book. We do a little each day, and it's really helping her prepare for becoming a big sister. Great questions to answer, places to draw and write. She loves it. One thing, though: I didn't realize when I bought it that this is a Christian book - no problem for us, since we're Christians - but if you're not, this book probably isn't for you.

My older daughter is 8 and loved receiving the book! It was so helpful in making her feel part of the new baby's life. The pictures are cute and language is perfect for her age and younger/older.

First of all, please note the "look inside" option before you purchase. This book does reflect the Christian beliefs and has scripture quoted all throughout it. It also acts as more of a scrapbook/interactive book for kids. There are places for pictures of sister and baby, places for facts about each child.

I absolutely love it and so does my daughter, but if you are expecting just something you can read to your kid, this is not the best choice, which is why you should LOOK INSIDE the book before you buy it.

If you know what you are buying and you are a Christian household, this is the perfect book to document things and help your daughter get used to the idea of a baby in the house and this baby being part of the family.

We purchased this book for a 7 year old, who now has a little sister! She absolutely loves it. The cut out in the middle is for a picture. We inserted a picture of the two of them prior to giving it to her, and she thought that was the best thing in the world... It has lots of questions for the big sister to answer about what she used to do at the baby's age, and older... Fun book for a kid! :)

I'm very pleased with this purchase. My daughter is 7 and we want to make sure she still understands she's special and going to be a big part of her new little brother or sister's life. This scrapbook/memory book is a perfect activity for us to do as a family with her and have the focus be on her and her role in baby's life. She's already started reading it and thinking about how she'll fill out each page (we're going to wait until baby is here so we can add pictures and make sure the items are about her when the baby is here). She even asked that Mommy and Daddy make sure to take lots of pictures with her and the baby so she can add them in.

A great purchase and I'll definitely keep in mind as a gift for other big sisters in the future.

LOVE this book for brand new big sisters. Both my Granddaughters have enjoyed completing this journal and talking about their feelings of an added baby to the family. It has given them an opportunity to document happenings in their own short lives, too. Discussions have been aplenty using this book as a springboard. I highly recommend this for 4 years and up!

Amazon should make clear that this book is based on certain religious beliefs. Also, that it is a "fill in the blanks" book, rather than something an adult reads to the big sister.
