Adults can enjoy this too for despite the cover picture and the album title, there are some really great songs here. Some are covers of songs that can be on standard albums yet they are not out of place here - these include Hi lili ho lo, You are my sunshine, Open up your heart, I can see clearly now and What a wonderful world. Teddy bears picnic can also be found on standard albums but really belongs here.

All those songs are great, but Anne has obviously put a lot of thought into her selection of songs aimed squarely at children. Why oh why is a great song that illustrates the problems that parents have in answering children's questions - nobody can predict what a child will ask. Another great song is Stars are the windows of heaven - this is one way of answering a particularly awkward question and it's very well done. Apart from Teddy bears picnic, there are two other animal songs (Animal crackers, Inch worm). The album title comes from the chorus of opening track (Hey Daddy).

This is a magnificent children's album that can be enjoyed by adults too.

My parents often played this album for me when I was a little girl and I still know many of the songs by memory. This is a sweet and memorable album with very thoughtful songs. I love it, and as soon as I found out I was expecting a child of my own set out searching for it on CD.

Anne's only children's album screams quality. The songs are so good that even adults love it. My personal favorite is "Sleepytime"-I am 35 years old and I often listen to it for its dreamy lyrics saying that one can be whatever he or she wants to be as long as they believe it can happen. "Hey Daddy" is a song that you can't listen to without singing along. It is often a top request at Anne's concerts. "You are My Sunshine" could have been a country single and hit for Anne-it is that good. "Teddy Bear's Picnic" is a song every child will love. The lullaby medley she has at the end is so touching, so soothing, you wish you were a kid again. This album is timeless, enjoyable and thoroughly wholesome. If you have kids or are a kid at heart, I know you will enjoy this one.

I, a senior citizen, had this album for many, many years and enjoyed it immensely but Katrina washed it away. I've been searching for another copy and have found it here. It is a wonderful collection for children OR adults!

I had a similar album as a child (Anne Murray sings children's songs) and wore a hole in it - actually I think I wore a hole in two copies. I received this CD as a birthday gift and can't wait to play it for my 2 year old. I know she'll love it as much as I did!

I was so thrilled to finally find this album in CD format. I used to play this record for my children and we would sing and dance along with it. I'm waiting for my grandchildren to come along so I can sing and dance with them to this CD.

I've just learned I'm going to be a grandmother for the first time. I just have to get this music on CD for my grandchild and grandchildren to come. I've got the 33 1/3 album and no way to record it. I'm hoping Anne will record more children's albums. Can't remember if she wrote these songs or not. My favorite starts out: "Stars shining brite above you".

We received this as an LP when our Son was born 28 years ago and have been giving it (now on CD) ever since for baby gifts. It's a sweet, fun group of lullabies that parents and children will both enjoy. Songs you'll remember like "Teddy Bears Picnic" "You are my Sunshine" and "Inchworm" plus some that may be new to you. You will be happy with this one!

I bought this many many years ago for my kids, and kids of friends, and now I'm buying it for my grandkids. Unfortunately the newest version released is not identical to the songs that were on the original. I would like to see the original version stay and be heard instead of the revised version. It looks like Amazon has the original version so that is what I will be purchasing today.
Excellant CD...many, many years of enjoyment.

Shipment was quick, communication was good and I love the CD. We had the tape as our children were growing up and now we have the CD for our grandchildren!
