A little girl finds something hiding under her covers--is it a monster? Love the illustrations and the easy-to-read language. Great for preschoolers and kids who are just beginning to read. Finally, something that the kids can enjoy on my Kindle! Highly recommend this engaging story!

We are trying to teach our 2 year old not to be afraid of monsters, and this book is exactly the kind of book to help with that! It's a great tool to help them learn to laugh at "monsters" instead of being afraid. I will read this with him often!!

There's a Monster in My Bed is a very short, only 9 pages long rhyming tale about a little girl who is freaking out because she brushed up against something furry under the covers with her feet. She of course assumes it's a monster. The story although short, is very well written. The illustrations are also well done, however they do give away a lot earlier on than the text does, what the monster is, which lets down the surprise revelation ending factor. Also for some reason there are a lot of blank (white) pages in the Kindle book download between the 9 pages. Not sure if they couldn't load some pages properly and if it is missing some, but the story still works well as is with the 9 pages that are there.

Recently I read an adult short story which had a wife waking up in the same situation but with a different outcome Rude Awakening. That one's obviously for kids a bit older than the target market of this one though. Or for the parents to read after they've tucked in their own kids, read this to them and turned out the lights.

I think this new author and illustrator have a great first children's book. I hope to see more from them. The book was clever and the illustrations were great!

Love Love Love this ebook! I'm giving this ebook 5 stars because my 2 year old Grandson can't stop talking about it. We read it on my Kindle Fire at least 5 times in a row everytime he comes to visit, and he and my daughter talk about his feet getting attacked all the way home. I even went to the book store trying to buy it in paper back so he could read it at home but i found out it is only in ebook form.

I highly recommend this ebook for anyone who has little ones and enjoys acting out the story line. I chuckle everytime I think about reading "there's a monster in my bed" my grandson meows so cute.

The story is a delightful bedtime story for children that all will love, parents and kids alike. The book is short, though. I would love to see more little episodes in it for those children who are harder to put to sleep. Signed by a grandmother who reads to her grandchildren often. Donna

I must admit that I, personally, loved this book since the monster reminds me so much my late beloved cat. It was also very appreciated by my kids which are sometimes worrying about "monsters" hidden in their room. Very useful and enjoyable.

Is this book deep? No. But it is a pretty amusing kid's story. My kids request this one often (almost every day) before bed time. Sometimes they want it read more than once AND from Mom and then from Dad (so sometimes up to 3-4 times in a row).
