5.0 out of 5 stars A near-perfect collection of pop country
Marie Osmond has rarely sounded so appealing as on this disc, which features a smart collection of summery country-pop tunes. The title song went to No. 1 on the charts, as did "Meet Me in Montana," a beautiful duet with Dan Seals and perhaps the best thing Marie's ever recorded.

3.0 out of 5 stars A pleasing album
There's No Stopping Your Heart--released in 1985--is a rewarding piece of work that I enjoy listening to. Marie Osmond has a beautiful voice. I like all ten of the songs. The material is in a country pop musical direction. The compositions that I favor are "There's No Stopping Your Heart," "Meet Me in Montana," and "That Old Devil Moon." "There's No Stopping Your...

5.0 out of 5 stars Marie - a great pop-country singer, August 25, 2002

When I originally heard (in 1985) that Marie had gone country, I had my doubts - until I heard Meet me in Montana, her duet with Dan Seals, on one of his albums. WOW !!!! I was blown away.

This album is a fine example of eighties pop country, which includes that duet with Dan, plus another #1 country hit (the title track) and other great tracks, including That old devil moon (a Holly Dunn song), Love will find it's way to you (later covered by Reba, who had a #1 country hit with it) and I'll be faithful to you, done brilliantly in a traditional country style and featuring a mandolin - oh!, what I'd give to hear Marie do an entire album of traditional country.

Every song here is a masterpiece. Although short for a CD, it is priced accordingly. Many pop singers have recorded country albums, but Marie actually had success on the country charts for a while.

At the Amazon price, this is a real bargain. Her other pop-country albums, similarly priced, are also wonderful, though this is the best of the lot.

A Kid's Review

This is favourite album from her. The vocals are magnificent as well as the music. I love the two #1 hits "There's No Stopping Your Heart"(which could be played on the Adult Comtemporary radio stations) and "Meet Me In Montana. The moderate hits Read My Lips" and "Until I Fall in Love Again" are great. I great album by great vocalist more people should know! Highly recommended.

Truly an excellent album. I have been a Marie fan since the early 70's. She is what you define as a legend. She has done it all and what she has done is excellent. This album marked her return to country music and she proved what a return she could make by having 3 hits from the album and being nominated for numerous awards. I wish she'd get back in the market and make more music. She is the best!! The 3 albums that followed this in the late 80's early 90's were just as good. Get this you won't be disappointed...

Marie Osmond-What can you say? She's done everything. From marriages, divorces, Miracle Children's Network, T.V. Shows, Las Vegas, Pop Music to Country Music. Marie was at her best when she did There's No Stopping Your Heart. Every song on this cd is great. But my favorites are, "Meet Me In Montana",and "I've Be Faithful To You", and "There's No Stopping Your Heart. When it comes to Marie; There's No Stopping Her Heart. 3.0 out of 5 stars A pleasing album, November 11, 2010
This review is from: There's No Stopping Your Heart (Audio CD)
There's No Stopping Your Heart--released in 1985--is a rewarding piece of work that I enjoy listening to. Marie Osmond has a beautiful voice. I like all ten of the songs. The material is in a country pop musical direction. The compositions that I favor are "There's No Stopping Your Heart," "Meet Me in Montana," and "That Old Devil Moon." "There's No Stopping Your Heart" features a winning chorus. Osmond duets with Dan Seals on "Meet Me in Montana"--the refrain is charming and remarkable. Osmond's singing performance on "That Old Devil Moon" is smooth, pretty, and indelible--especially during the chorus. The disc is almost 33 minutes. The song lyrics are not included in the CD insert. Actually, I rate this album 3.5 stars. It is recommendable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Her First Capitol Release in 1985, March 20, 2009

Marie Osmond merged in the 80's as a serious Country star with the debut of this LP/CD. After a string of success on the Country/Pop charts in the 70's with her brother Donny along side her 4 solo LP's, Marie made a comeback hitting #1 with Meet Me In Montana duet with Dan Seals. It was actually the second single following up Until I Fall In Love Again which charted in at #54. She continued success with the title song (#1) and video and The fourth single Read My Lips reaching #4.

Other highlights include I'll Be Faithfull To You which was a B side but became almost as popular with her fans. She did a cover of Reba McEntire's Love Will Find It's Way To You. Although she is noted for doing mostly covers, it's her original material that shines here and in her 4 80's Country CD's released on Capitol/Curb.

I'm biased. I wanted to grow up to be Mr. Marie Osmond, or Mr. Marcia Brady. I prefer Donnie & Marie, but if you are a fan, then like everything released by this amazing family, this is a must have. It doesn't get better than "Meet Me In Montana." I love that "country" has lost some twang and added some pop. You will not be disappointed with Osmond consistency. I strongly recommend "Dancing With The Best of Marie Osmond," also. To those who target the bubblegum music, corny family values, religious beliefs, or even the personal lives, WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT THIS ITEM?!! A musician, or family of artists, doesn't have a career lifespan this family has without having "IT" -- That unique, special blend of personality, sound, talent, etc. BUY! Wish I could be front row center in Vegas. I've seen Donny & Marie perform live and the performance is much like the music--it captures and dazzles. And for the record--I'm still available, Marie!
