Humorous & Insightful View on Marriage,
By
This review is from: There's a Spouse in My House: A Humorous Journey Through the First Years of Marriage (Paperback)
This is a quirky, funny little book that is a good guide for the recently married and the not so recent. Peter Scott has a way of writing about life's truths that first make you laugh then you realize he has made a really good point. Very insightful in the ways men and women think.

I originally bought this right before my wedding, more out of curiousity than anything. Humorous, playful, and oh-so-true tips and scenarios--it was actually even found to be a bit helpful to both my husband and myself. This would make a great bridal party gift, or just a little something for your soon to be spouse.

Scott has written a very amusing book about the first few years of marriage. Not all the advice or humor will apply to every couple, but I like that he brings up a variety of topics, approaching them in a humorous manner that will have you both chuckling and going "hmmm". He covers holidays, vacations, the in-laws, the baby question, pets, finances, and many other things. Definitely recommended for someone that wants a quick read that will help focus in on things that the couple might want to think about before (and after) the wedding.

Never has a book made me laugh out loud so many times! I felt like the author was describing me and my new husband to a T. It was perfect! I'm recommending it to all my newly married or engaged friends. It will make you laugh until you cry and then shake your head because you can't help it- it's just so true!

Bought this for my daughter and her new husband because I thought it would a humorous after-honeymoon gift. Not funny! I don't mind a little stereotyping for a laugh but this is positively archaic. Repetitious, predictable (if you're over 50), and insulting. This would not only irritate my daugther, it would also bore her husband. Clearly no Dave Barry in waiting here.
