About the Author

The second in her Savour The Flavour series, Carol Lazzeri-Casey has done it again with The Heat’s On Baby! (A Book for Chile Heads)! Filled with devilishly delightful, daring dishes that are not only for bold-spirited, pepper-powered, chile heads … The Heat’s On, Baby! (A Book for Chile Heads) is for anyone who appreciates that the right combination of ingredients can actually temper the heat and enhance the natural flavours of foods. Result? … formulas for fantastic eating that tingle your palate and enliven your senses! And … some interesting facts about chile peppers along with an array of suggested menus (such as Chile Chili Chimi Dinner and South-of-the-Border Birthday Bash) completes the gamut! Carol Lazzeri-Casey’s first book, There’s No Such Thing As Too Much Garlic (A Book for “Garlicaholics”) (Author House) has taken off like a shot! Her collection of recipes containing the pungent herb has been flying off the shelves of bookstores and gourmet kitchen and gift shops, like gangbusters! Casey has taken her book on the road with personal appearances and cooking demonstrations, leaving a garlicky air of enticing aromas wherever she goes. The Heat’s On, Baby! (A Book for Chile Heads) is another predicted winner! For years, Casey has studied chile peppers, experimented in cooking with chile peppers, and has even grown chile peppers! This true chile aficionado willingly shares her “secrets to spice up the kitchen” with all brave enough to listen! And her mouth-watering chile recipes don’t stop with traditional Mexican and Southwestern cuisine. She’s thoughtfully added a few Asian and European dishes for an eclectic mix of savoury flavours. A native of Berkshire County, Massachusetts, Casey’s home is currently in Connecticut where she lives with her friend/best cooking buddy, Hubby Frank.
