5.0 out of 5 stars A book that gets to the Real heart of it, March 30, 2011

This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion cuts right through the web of voices that have always told me what i was feeling was what was in the way of who i am. After several reads and alot of work i am understanding that what i feel IS who i am. Daniel Barron takes the reader on a return journey to the emotions we have run from, meditated to transcend, perspectivized into little compartments, and relegated to the shameful corners of our lives. At turns complex and simple, Barron's work explains the architecture of the emotional body , tells the story of how we developed into the current versions of ourselves and how to find our way to the selves we could have been if we had received all of the emotional nourishment required for our greatest expression. I wish this read for anyone who aches to find out who they truly are at Heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!, May 30, 2011
This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
To me Daniel Barron in this book gives answers to the deepest questions about human suffering and introduces a dharma to adress it. It's not an easy read as it goes against so many of our conditionings, but if you read it heart first you will be affected in a deep way. Or that's what happened to me. I highly recommend it.

This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
After many years of spiritual searching, buddhist practice, and somatic psychology, and never being able to settle into any one paradigm because something just didn't feel right ... I had largely given up hope that I would ever find a path to heal what i knew was ailing me - that deep, seemingly inaccessible pain in my being - and that i would never find any resolution to the questions that had hanuted me since i was a child ... who am i? what am i? I literally stumbled onto this book in 2007, and the course of my life was forever changed. Through the work offered by Barron, I am finding the answers not just to those questions, but to so many more that i didn't even know that i had. Read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is it!, June 2, 2011
This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
If we could just live part of what this author offers the world would be a different place. To live as emotive beings first feels so logical that it almost is ridicules that nobody has banged the drums for this before. Many has tried but nobody has actually found the codes for healing the emotional landscapes we encountered and stored as feelings when we were children. Until now all that has been offered is mental change - not emotional healing. The architecture of the emotional body presented in this book is the key to heal our wounds. This is overwhelmingly exciting for human kind.

This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
This book lays out a whole new foundation for living life as a human being. Daniel Barron outlines that we are emotion first, this is revolutionary! It's stunning! It's a totally new world-view.

This book is not for the faint hearted, it is detailed, intricate and yet it's message is heartfelt and sincere. It topples our present psychology off it's pedestal and presents life in a whole new frame.

You have to read this book, take your time, read it twice, three times, it's worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars The End of My Searching, May 30, 2011
This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
I have read so many psychology books and attended so many alternative leading edge seminars, but No such thing as a Negative Emotion is by far the only book that stopped my search. Not only does Daniel Barron differentiate true healing from coping, he offers a path to become the most authentic person you can be. He leaves no rock unturned! Everyplace you may have a question or feel a wall, he has deconstructed that childhood emotional complexity and turned it into an articulate, and detailed, way to come home to yourself. How many times have you wondered why your recent attempts to change or heal have ended in a slightly different version of the same painful pattern. It is not because you didn't try heartfully or do it right...
The answers to these questions are in this amazing and passionate book. I hope everyone takes the time to open to the possibility that you're at the end of your search. It has changed my life.

5.0 out of 5 stars I feel therefore I am, July 27, 2011
This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
This book has changed my life! I have been reading so many books that gave me good insights but they never showed me how to change from the inside out. Barron cracked the code by saying we are emotional beings first, mental second and physical third. I felt felt in my essence when I read this book, finally there is a way to heal the split between my human and my spiritual heart. Isn't this what we all are searching for ?

5.0 out of 5 stars There are a lot of books about emotions, but this book is unique, April 10, 2011

This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
You can do a search for "emotions" right here on Amazon, and you'll see lots of titles like: Managing your emotions, Emotional Intelligence, Emotional Freedom: Liberate yourself from Negative Emotions and Transform your life..... 99.9% of these books are missing the mark, and are a big part of the problem.

The title, There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion, says it all. After you take in the importance of that title, BUY THE BOOK! and read it, but be prepared to have your world-view shaken. When the author writes in the first chapter, that we have always been emotional beings first, mental beings second, and physical beings third, he is laying the first premise for a whole new way of living.

How many times do you come across a truly unique and new view of the world and life? This is not just a synthesis of other teachings, east-west, psychology and spiritual practices. No Such Thing is inspiring, challenging and offered me specific steps that have been helpful in my life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow., April 22, 2006
This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion is a brilliant and masterful challenge of virtually all research and practice of psychology and a straightforward and well-organized presentation of the premises of Emotional Body Enlightenment (EBE), the healing modality Barron created based on these premises. Barron has truly brought something new and succeeds in making it very clear exactly how and why that is so. He is unabashedly bold and exacting in his presentation yet humble in his offering.

This book is for intelligent, psychoemotionally hungry people who can think paradigmatically and are willing to momentarily set everything they hold to be true aside to taste this view. The style in which he writes alone precipitates internal shifts and openings in the reader, a small but unmistakable glimpse of the power of emotional body enlightenment practice. It is important to note, however, that while the map this book offers is ingenious, mind-expanding and bewilderingly beautiful, it is not the heart-opening territory.

Emotional Body Enlightenment occurs through walking the path with an EBE facilitator, where the self-validating truths offered by Barron become alive and embodiable in the abjectly terrifying and ineffably magical territory of the actual work. The content of No Such Thing is not to be believed, nor adopted as a philosophy, nor used as a guide for behavioral modification; it is to be lived into as a series of possible questions in process.

The truth is not out there anywhere, it is in your heart, waiting for you to find it. Barron offers a map and a method to lovingly deconstruct the many layered defenses between you and your heart, so that you may listen to, feel, and become your truest, most authentic, and open-hearted you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary, April 30, 2010
This review is from: There's No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion (Paperback)
I have read no other book that so clearly and poignantly offers a completely new philosophy of psychology and modality of healing, while also being cogent and unapologetic in its critique of existing work. "There's no such thing as a negative emotion" provides a new perspective on the nature of the human condition and the causal base of suffering. The underlying paradigm (philosophy and value system), its metaphysics and their application of any healing work will ultimately determine its efficacy. This book presents a convincing case for the nature of the human emotional body and it's primary role in human suffering. As such, it also presents a remarkable healing path. At its least this book is a fascinating philosophical treatise on the human condition. At its most it is a new foundation for a healing modality that redefines what it means to be a human being living a divinely authentic life. In my opinion, this book lays that foundation as a beautiful ray of light in a dark room. I encourage anyone interested in healing work to judge for themselves.
