Well this will certainly be the easiest review I've ever written. This product works. It's a simple strap and will get lots of use. What else can you expect? I've used it to hold gear on my bikes handlebars, compress sleeping bags and attach a sleeping pad to my pack.

Got these straps so that I could Molle my sleeping bag to my Condor 3 day assault pack. They work great! I have not used them in the field yet but they secured the sleeping bag tightly and there is no slipping of the straps. They got 4 stars because I wish they were just a tad wider but that's just nitpicking.

Great accessory for backpacking trips, helps secure anything you can think of to your pack... Not much else to say about them... good quality (which is expected from Therm-a-rest), good price...

Is your closet over crowded? Do you have fluffy comforters and quilts folded and stored in your bedroom closet that vampire up half the shelf space? If they are king size, you know what I’m talking about.

A NO VACANCY sign has been hanging over the door of our bedroom, walk-in closet for over a year. It was suffering from super-bargainitis and hot deals that were too good to turn down. Something had to give.

As a test, I ordered some of these Therm-a-Rest 42-Inch straps. Using 3 per king size comforter, fluffy blanket or quilt, I was able to cut their storage size in half. Four comforters could now fit in the same space that was once occupied by two.

It is necessary to roll the comforter as tightly possible on the floor compressing it with your knees. Once it is in a tight roll, using these straps, you can compress with your knees and winch/tighten an inch at a time until they are firm as a pine log.

Nowadays, many of these fluffy items come tightly compressed and vacuumed sealed in airtight plastic bags. They fluff right up when opened. They’ll do the same thing again when the straps are removed.

There's not much to say about these straps... the plastic part seems durable, and the straps are pretty hardy. I actually cut mine down to about 8" long, and burned the ends with a lighter to prevent fraying. I use them to secure a camera tripod to the outside of my backpack, and they work perfectly for that.

Can't complain about this item. It's a simple strap that you can use for whatever purpose you can imagine, from compressing stuff sacks to attaching tents, ground mats, mattresses, blankets, etc. to your backpack. The reason for 3 stars is the price; for about $3 plus shipping you only get 2 straps.

These are great straps. No-slip buckles so your gear stays snug, and they're narrow enough for MOLLE webbing. I'm using a pair of the 60 inch to strap a GI sleep kit and a mat to my BOB.
