The product works well I purchased two of them, to use to transport food for the family Thanksgiving dinner. The corn stayed nice and hot and the candied sweet potatoes stayed hot, only problem was because of the heat build up the nice thick sauce did thin out a bit.

Only problem I discovered was if you do not fill the bowl at least half full, the food does not stay warm, I used one again to try and keep mashed potatoes warm while prepared additional food and because it was such a small amount of food in the container they didn't stay warm. Not the fault of the container. I have not tried cold food in them, I am thinking of getting the smaller sized ones.

I bought this product to keep things like naan, pancakes and tortillas warm. It's proven to be a fantastic purchase so far. The only complaint I have is that the blue color on the handles comes off when you wipe or wash it.

I gave this item for a gift and I am told it works pretty well. The locking lid is a must according to the gift recipient. Although it has not been tested for the six hours as advertised, it has held the temperatures, both cold and hot, for 3 hours, that I know for sure. The container is very lightweight and does not seem like much for the price, but as long as it works, that's a good thing.

Don't buy if you are taking soups or anything liquid. It is not spill proof. It did however keep the contents hot. I recommend it for that only.

I ordered two of these 4.5 quart food servers which have been great for our Sunday dinners. The servers keep food hot for quite a few hours, which is perfect for my large family who often come and go from the dining table over an extended period during mealtimes because of their schedules. The food remains hot until the last person has eaten and I no longer need to worry about reheating food in the microwave or oven.

I also ordered the smaller 2.75 quart size. The lid does lock securely to the dish via the blue handles on each side and to keep food hotter longer, I pour nearly boiling water in the dish first, leave it for a few minutes and then discard before putting the food in, just as we used to do with Thermos flasks and carafes in those days - does anyone still use those?

The set is nice enough to use for informal entertaining too. I hope to use it for a very long time.

I really like the way it retains the heat. I took a hot soup to a gathering of people and 2 hours later, it was still too hot to eat without slurping! It is light weight and large enough to hold anything I might make for a party or potluck. It is also has an attractive appearance.

It is however somewhat fragile. Much like a thermos bottle, if it is dropped, I am afraid the inside thermal lining would break. It can not be put in the dishwasher, but normally something this big would not go in there anyway.

Overall, I really like it!

I haven't tested the Thermacare 4.5 quart-size warmer yet, but have to say that I am impressed with its elegant and high-quality looks. The lid seems to seal pretty well. I am now eager to test it to see if it will keep my mashed potatoes warm for at least 4 hours, since I will be taking my food out of town for Thanksgiving.

I recently returned the Cello food warmers (made in India) because they arrived defective. Furthermore, they looked like cheap quality stuff. I like the Thermacare looks, though, and have ordered the 2.75 quart-size as well.

Overall I like it better for keeping things cold than hot. It works well for salads--even keeps homemade icre cream frozen for quite awhile. It is sturdy but not completely leak proof. It keeps things hot, but since you can not reheat or cook in it, you have to transfer foods to it, which can be difficult if it's a casserole and results in extra dishes to wash. I think it's less versatile for hot foods. If you could bake casseroles in it and carry soups spill-free, I would give it 5 stars.
