1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work
Perhaps there is a reason these are on sale for half off? Three separate packs were used out of my box -- each became only slightly heated. After applying the first wrap, I couldn't tell if it was working or not; that's how un-warm it was. That's why I opened another. This one felt warmer, but it never became hot, or even warm enough to cause any relief to the sore,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than advertised, March 26, 2003

These are the greatest heating pads for sore muscles that I've ever used, and they actually work better than advertised--the box says they work for eight hours but I find they provide comforting warmth for 12--14 hours. Because they have self adhesive strips you're not tied down to a heating pad and can carry on with your daily activities. Use these for your neck and shoulders as well as any muscles that hurt from too much excercise. I cut them in half, avoiding the charcoal "dots," and use regular tape to secure them to my legs, arms, shoulder--where ever I need them. They provide better relief than any creams or salves. When I wear any of the ThermaCare products to bed, I wake up pain free. They're terrific!

This review is from: Thermacare Neck to Arm Heatwraps, 6 Count (Health and Beauty)
These heat wraps are excellent for reducing pain from sore muscles and can be worn for 8-12 hours of warm relief. I totally agree with the previous reviewer that they are better than advertised!

4.0 out of 5 stars Slow to warm, but great once it does, September 12, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Thermacare Neck to Arm Heatwraps, 6 Count (Health and Beauty)
It seems to take about 10 mins or so for the thing to really warm up, but it really stays warm once it does.
Great for sore muscles and also cramps. Like the fact that it's portable and doesn't take a great deal of space.
Only problem was really getting it to stay where I wanted without holding it in place. Overall, highly recommend for the occassional stiff neck and shoulders.

4.0 out of 5 stars ThermaCare Air-Activated HeatWraps, September 29, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Thermacare Neck to Arm Heatwraps, 6 Count (Health and Beauty)
These heat wraps are phenomenal for lower back pain and allow the freedom of moving about without having to deal with plugs and cords. They are especially helpful for long car trips and vacations. Both my husband and I have herniated disks in the L-5 region, but they do get a bit costly if used very often, as the lumbar wraps have only 2 per package.

5.0 out of 5 stars God Send, December 7, 2003
This review is from: Thermacare Neck to Arm Heatwraps, 6 Count (Health and Beauty)
I have fibromyalgia, a disorder of chronic pain and fatigue in which your muscles are tense and form knots at various places through out your body. There are times that no amount of relaxation techniques (including therapeutic massage etc) will touch the tension/pain. At those times this product produces an extended, low level of constant heat. When used for the 8 hours allowed by directions my muscular tension reduces SIGNIFICANTLY. This heat CAN BE Adjusted by meerely adding and subtracting clothing layers (think sweater). This also will assist in holding the product onto the targeted skin. With my intense pain and tension, any cost is OK if it just WORKS! This product WORKS!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Relief, July 10, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Thermacare Neck to Arm Heatwraps, 6 Count (Health and Beauty)
When I first bought these, I thought they would probably not give much relief to my tight muscles. I was surprised at how well they worked and how comfortable they are. I will not say that it cured my problem but it did give me relief while wearing. They are comfortable enough to wear to bed and are not real obvious under clothing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Working great, August 15, 2005

I'm using a free sample that came with another product. This is super convenient with just the right amount of heat in the right place. It is lightweight and sticks on so I can go about my daily activities such as typing in this review. I'm going to buy some today.

The people who wrote that it doesn't work either had a sample that had been exposed to the air, possibly with an improperly sealed pouch, or a very old sample. These ThermaCare pads get hot by oxidizing, so be sure to check the expiration date before buying...the fresher the better.

I would not purchase this product again, and in fact, tossed the unused portion of my box in the trash.
