This book covers all the basics you need to know in order to ba able to do nuclear fuel perfromnace analysis. - The formulas and correlations presented as of edition 2 are still state of the art, although better ienfromation is available. Never the less the book can be used to develop software in order to do thermal mechanical analysis of fuel rods.
The neutronics part as to core design is covered but only basic models are presented (edition 2). Summarizing this book presents an easy reading introduction to nucelar fuel but it also enable the raeder to evaluate and calculate on more advanced topics.(edition 2). The book is written for PWR but with minor addtions can be used for BWR too. |
