Thermaltake products are top of the line. If you have more than 1 SATA you need to buy enclosures for, this is the answer. Not only does it save you $$ on enclosures it makes it easier to utilize several HDDs. It opens up a whole new avenue for storage. The only thing I would suggest is snap around cases to protect the HDDs since they weren't designed to be handeled. It's like having naked HDDs. Great Product. I've been a Tiger Direct customer for years and have recently found that Amazon is consistantly cheaper on their electronics across the board.

I'm glad I got this. Its easy to change out the hard drive. It sits on the desk and, with my Macbook Pro and Time Machine, does automatic backups. It is about the most inexpensive way to house an external hard drive. The quality is excellent, too.

Good product. Only issue is that the drive sits loosely; and bumping the table it sits on (or opening the cover) causes the drive to unmount. There is some vibration noise when the drive is really spinning; but that can be corrected by gently touching the cover door.

Worth the $$ and compared to the PITA job of removing a drive from a standard external SATA housing - it's great.

Bought this in 2008 and I'm still using it for the hard drive and the USB expansion ports. Simple setup - one internal hard drive and USB external drives hanging off the ports. It lets me connect and collect my external drives to my server so I have easily accessible and manageable storage.

Large files hang up during transfer. The drive is dropped by Windows 7 during use.

Good luck getting any rebates. Expect to be cheated. I've been waiting 3 months to get the rebate which was approved in December. Since Thermaltake has stopped responding to technical issues and comments about rebates this device will probably be discontinued soon.

My Thermaltake BlacX N0028USU was not bought thru Amazon. The company I bought it from tends to not post more critical reviews.

I bought this Thermaltake product about a year ago. It is almost worth the price just for the USB port, but the ability to quickly and easily swap hard drives in an out is wonderful. I occasionally had problems with the drive vibrating and making a little noise. This can be fixed by pushing on the cover, but I just put it underneath my desk so I don't hear it. The transfer speed is about the same as an internal drive (I don't notice any difference), and I am going to buy another one!
