5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent fan for the price
PROPS. The fan does its job well: i got -10C temperature drop comparing to the regular Intel cooler. With this cooler I was able to overclock my Q9550 to 3.4Ghz (stable). Yes, it gets very hot at heavy loading (~85C) but this is OK since its maximum temperature is 100C. At normal loading CPU heats till 55C that is good for air cooling.

CONS. Holders that lock...

I like the look and capabilities of this product, the plastic part protecting the fan is extremely cheap and fragile though.

CONS. Holders that lock cooler on the MB are too weak. I was able to lock only two of them, others are in fact not used. Though, looks like this doesn't affect colling effectiveness.

HINT. Before installing this coller I strongly recommend to remove MB from the case. Radiator covers lockers so it's not easy to access them when mobo fixed in chasis. Also, keep in mind that this cooler makes air flow in your case totally different that may affect cooling of other devices (like SB). So think twice before choosing orientation of the fan (you have 4 choices).

5.0 out of 5 stars i use this cooler without the fan, February 7, 2009
This review is from: Thermaltake CL-P0370 TMG i1 CPU Cooler for Intel LGA775 (Personal Computers)
I bought this cpu cooler for my intel 6700 2.66GHz at stock speed. I use two 120mm fans, one the back of my case and the other on the front. This heatsink is so large that I didn't even need to use the fan it came with. My system runs fine and its much quieter now too. I'll try to write more about it later. [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Quiet and cool, June 9, 2007

I am a computer professional and have built computers for over 20 years. As processors improve, the need for more cooling power increases. As the fan size has increased, so has the noise. The standard CPU cooler I installed in my last computer was so noisy (compared to the older generation smaller fans) that I tended to not use my best computer and left it turned off to keep it quiet.

I finally searched for replacement fans searching for cooling power and quiet.

Installation wasn't as easy as I had wished. My other fan attached differently and this fan is larger so I had to reposition items. This is not a reason to not purchase, only be aware that this fan will not fit in a small case. Look at the dimensions and make sure it will fit before you buy.

I have installed this fan and monitored its cooling power. It does a very good job of cooling and it is very quiet. This computer is now the quietest of my current 5 computers. I am very pleased with this cpu cooler and am purchasing another one.

I have learned one lesson from this. It is now as important to search for powerful and quiet cpu coolers as it is to look at processor and motherboard specs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best LGA775 CPU fan ever, August 4, 2009
This review is from: Thermaltake CL-P0370 TMG i1 CPU Cooler for Intel LGA775 (Personal Computers)
I have owned many CPU fans. Many much larger and more expensive than this one. This one however is the best I have ever owned. Im using the fan on a stock Q9650 and it runs 10-15C cooler. Under 100% FPU load (The worst load) I cant get the cores over 55c.

At full 2400RPM you cant hear the fan. Its well worth the cost. I can honastly say the only thing that works better is water cooling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thermaltake CL-P0370 TMG i1 CPU Cooler for Intel LGA775, May 22, 2009
This review is from: Thermaltake CL-P0370 TMG i1 CPU Cooler for Intel LGA775 (Personal Computers)
This is a very well done cooler. It far exceeds the original type cooler than cam with my CPU. It barely gets off idle speed, compared to full throttle with the other one that was there. Supposedly, a good cooler for the 2.66GHz Intel chip. I run this overclocked 30%. I run 4 hard drives, along with doing very big picture repairing, and often have 4-6 tabs open on sites. Which have Flash, and animations running, which increase the CPU load. This cooler now, just gets off idle, and is very quiet...Oh, I also have 2 external 120 mm fans, that I used to also have running to keep it cool. I now have them turned off. I wanted to mention the packing for this item. SUPER...Also, the shipping time was SUPER !!! Thank you for having a Great product, at a Great buying price.
One main factor I almost forgot to mention is...the solid base copper mounting area, verses the tube contact on other brands. Great heat dissipater in comparison.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fan cooling, keeps things quiet and cool at load, January 29, 2009

This thing keeps my e8400 at around 50-60C at all times, even gaming. It barely kicks up speed when I'm gaming. It does pick up a bit more with video processing. This fan is capable of quite high speed and will keep your CPU in a safe range without working hard. I wish it could cool even half as well as my water cooling system, but that's fine I don't need to overclock. It also helps to increase the airflow of my system since it stands up and blows air out of the rear.

The stock fan that came with my processor would be loud and buzzy when on full load gaming or mass processing. This thing is incredibly quiet in comparison.

Installation is so simple. Way easier than a stock fan. This went right in without much force and stays solidly attached.

Great fan especially for the price.

This is a nice cooler for the price. It will allow you to overclock a Q6600 Quad Core, Intel processor to 3ghz. Too bad it won't go any higher, but still better than 2.4 ghz.

This review is from: Thermaltake CL-P0370 TMG i1 CPU Cooler for Intel LGA775 (Personal Computers)
I bought the CL-P0370 after I reailized the stock cooler on my E6600 just
wasn't cutting it. The only negitive I've found is the mounting system.
It's the same flimsy system used on the stock cooler so care must be taken. This is a tall cooler so it might not fit some cases. My case has a
removable motherboard tray and couldn't use it.
As far as performance,I won't give any specs, this thing works......well.
This is the most silent PC I've ever built. This cooler is well worth the money. Thrmaltake builds a great PS also.
