I purchased this case, and sadly going to return it to Amazon.com because Thermaltake opted to limit what's included with the case. Not to mention contacting their support staff is like calling a sales department. I'm giving it one star, until they choose to include a few more parts and address cable management, it doesn't deserve any more.

This is Thermaltakes top of the line case, the construction is solid but does have some major issues & design flaws, not to mention additional expense if you want to put more than three drives in the chassis.

Cable Management: The only entry for cables on the rear door is at the very bottom, you'll need a USB hub or extension cables for every device if they at a standard table height & case is on the floor. The rear door is too close to the trim and will cut your wires if you try to shut the door with them routed via the top.

Drive Bays: You are limited to 3 hard drives, unless you choose to purchase additional cages & covers from Thermaltake and the fan grille isn't even listed on their site. While most performance cases support up to 9 hard drives, at most you can place 6 in this case (despite the price) because someone decided that 8U was enough instead of 9U. You can place more in there, but not in a drive cage & without a fan; since they are a 3U configuration only.

The 7" drive bays at the top of the unit are a waste unless you want to purchase the optional LCD monitor - and then you are only going to be using one of them; and have to remove the sleek aluminum cover and place a black metal blank in it's place -- which doesn't sit flush with the case. You can't have a 7" and a 5.25" device installed in the top bays (unless Thermaltake sells something else to help us out).

The pump assembly is in the lower rear of the case, blocking access to the lower 3 expansion slots. There is no room to have a cable plugged into any of these lower cards; it will be necessary for you to remove & relocate the pump if you intend to use these slots.

I contacted Thermaltake after purchasing the case & additional drive cage just to be told that I had to purchase the grill cover - we shouldn't have to buy extra parts when we purchase a premium case...period.

What I purchased to replace this case Uniquely Designed Case and water cooling from Koolance. Even this sparse case from Antec supports 6 hard drives, why Thermaltake's premiere case doesn't is just a mystery.

I purchased this system almost a year ago to upgrade my system. I wanted a system designed from the ground up to be liquid cooled.

This is a massive well designed case with some issues that can easily be solved. Out of the box its daunting, but almost everything you need is in it.


Cable Management: The only entry for cables on the rear door is at the very bottom, you need to plan out your cables.

Drive Bays: You are limited to 3 hard drives,
not much of an issue as someone spending over 500$ for a case should be using RAID and not using a bunch of old drives.

The 7" drive bays at the top of the unit are used with the optional LCD monitor -

this can be relocated.....The pump assembly is in the lower rear of the case, blocking access to the lower 3 expansion slots. There is no room to have a cable plugged into any of these lower cards; it will be necessary for you to remove & relocate the pump if you intend to use these slots. This is a pain and the screwless slots at back. which I removed easily to make room for 2 3870x2 cards.
This was the biggest issue
the massive manual and online help should address most issues, and email support was awesome from thermaltake.

the motherboard tray is awesome and has the right amount of cooling.
The 7 fans and radiator keep my system cooled with no issues ever in almost a year.
This is the liquid cooled system, if you are going air, they make the similiar system without all the add-ons.
