Definitely a good power supply based on the specs. It also is very quiet which is great! I ran into 2 issues when installing it last night.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Inexpensive Power Supply, September 10, 2008

This is a really nice power supply for the money. I have bought several of them and they work very quietly and efficiently.

If you are unfamiliar with how to install a new power supply you might want to follow these 10 simple steps:

1 Unscrew the four screws holding the old power supply to the case.
2 Pull the old power supply out and rest it on a corner of the case.
3 Put the new power supply into the case.
4 Follow the first cord of the old power supply noting the color of the wires and where they are located. You might want to write this down if your memory isn't the greatest.
5. Find a cord on the new power suppy that matches and plug it in to the empty socket. Push down hard to make sure the cord is well seated.
6. Keep doing this untill all cords on the old power supply are unplugged and replaced with cords from the new power supply.
7. Screw in the four screws to secure the power supply to the case.
8. Plug in the power supply
9. Turn on the switch to the power supply.
10. Turn on the computer.

The whole process takes less than 10 minutes and with the low cost of the Thermaltake power supply it makes it cost-and-effort effective to upgrade your old power supply.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the one, February 12, 2006
This review is from: Thermaltake W0070RUC TR2 Series 430W Power Supply with 2 Fans (Personal Computers)
This is the only choice for a quality low cost power supply. It has the power you need for all but the hardcore computers. The leads are long and mesh wrapped and it has all the different ones needed for the newer computers. It is also very quiet. A popular parts selling company has sold tons of these and had stellar reviews on it. I have bought and replaced many power supplies in the last five years and this has been my favorite. I have one running my computer right now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thermaltake 430W used in Dell Dimension 8200, December 18, 2005

There is so much controversy regarding Dell power supplies, I thought I would review this item. I have installed this item in a Dell Dimension 8200. This computer is a 1.8 Ghz Pentium 4. It previously had a Dell 250 W power supply. This new power supply is working flawlessly! I changed out the smaller P.S., because I am upgrading to a XFX6600Gt graphics card, which requires 300 W minimum. I did have some concerns, after the erronous cautions from Dell support (India). But all is well. I notice that the dual fan configuration is very quiet.

Also, only one caveat. You will need a nibbling tool to remove some rear case sheet metal, so you can clear the rocker switch on this P.S. Not a big problem once you see how it performs.

The 20/24 pin motherboard connector is a little odd. You have to bend the wire all the way to the left to get the 4 pin add-on to lock in place. This was a little odd, and you probably want to tie this cable in that position so those 4 pins do not work there way out of the connection.
Second item was the SATA power connection. There is one cable for 2 SATA devices. Unfortunately the two connectors are only 3 inches apart. This is a problem for building an HTPC system, where the SATA hard disk is not right below my SATA DVD drive. Not an issue if you are using a regular DVD/CD drive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great power supply upgrade for Dell Dimension, October 8, 2007

This review is from: Thermaltake W0070RUC TR2 Series 430W Power Supply with 2 Fans (Personal Computers)
I upgraded the worn down power supply in my Dell Dimension 8200, and this model was perfect. Very quiet and stays cool. Only one minor issue...the power switch isn't flat against the back of my Dell unit, so I just shaved the top of the switch off (since it is not needed anyway, and cannot be accessed unless I cut a hole in the case). Otherwise, plenty of cables and plenty of power. I would highly recommend this particular model if you are needing a more powerful power supply/upgrade to your older Dell Dimension.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent power supply for the price, March 1, 2008

This review is from: Thermaltake W0070RUC TR2 Series 430W Power Supply with 2 Fans (Personal Computers)
Pros:
- Despite having two 80mm fans, this PSU is really quiet.
- All of the cables are wrapped in a mesh sleeve for a nice, clean look.
- Powerful enough for my older system: Athlon x2 4200+, 8800GTS 320MB, 250GB HDD, DVD burner.
- Inexpensive.

Cons:
- There are only two SATA connectors and they're really close together. Forget about having a SATA DVD in the top bay and a SATA HDD at the bottom bay on a larger case.
- Mesh sleeving makes the cables a bit thicker and stiffer to position in the case.
- Minor issue specific to Antec P series case owners, but the power cables weren't long enough to snake through the cable management system on my Antec P-182. I had to just drape the cables over my motherboard and video card.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for modern systems with more than 2 SATA devices, December 21, 2010

There are only 2 SATA power connectors and they are on the same lead about 3" apart.

Fairly useless in a modern computer unless you have molex to SATA adapters.

Also, since it has two fans, one in front and one in back, it is deeper than most power supplies of this wattage. I could not fit this into a Thermaltake Soprano case without having to remove components(replacing a bad power supply). Ended up using a different PS for this case, Corsair CX430.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, August 27, 2008

This review is from: Thermaltake W0070RUC TR2 Series 430W Power Supply with 2 Fans (Personal Computers)
I read all other reviews before purchasing this product, looked for other products that were of equal value and equal quality. Every other product I looked at for this price was commented on as being noisy and we cant have that! I upgraded my power supply because my new Graphics card required an upgrade. My biggest fear was that i would not have all the connectors that i needed and after doing some research to be familiarized with the lingo i was very happy indeed to find that this was a perfect fit for me. It is not noisy and has many molex connections (9). If you have SATA Hard Disk Drive and SATA Optical drive you will need some molex to SATA connectors. This was the case for me but my computer already had them so i just used the ones that were already being used by the old power supply. While it does have 2 SATA connectors you cannot use them with both a HDD and Optical Drive cause they are run from the same wire (piggy backed) and are only 3 inches apart (optimal for 2 Optical Drives).
My last computer had a really loud Power supply and my current computer came with a silent one so i have seen the best and worst...and when you know what silent is you dont want to go back to a loud Powere supply.
BTW- I called Thermaltake to get some specs and talk to them about this product before I bought it and they were very helpful (tech support), answered all my questions and went beyond what it took to make me feel comfortable about buying this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Physical dimensions are incorrect!, February 8, 2011
This review is from: Thermaltake W0070RUC TR2 Series 430W Power Supply with 2 Fans (Personal Computers)
This is pointing out that this unit is 6.3 x 5.9 x 3.3 ( inches Depth x Width x Height ). Otherwise, I would of bought it.
Hope this helps!
