Very fast and very accurate. I first used it on some nice filet mignons and they came out an absolutely perfect medium rare. Yes, it's a little pricey, but if you're cooking an expensive cut of meat it's a must have.

I can not recommend this company too highly. My first one I ordered a week before Thanksgiving to become accustomed to it, and the U.S Poatal service promptly "lost" it. I contacted Thermoworks and they sent another by UPS BEFORE Thanksgiving. STILL waiting for response from US Postal Service (service Ha!). Thermometer works beautifully in any instance you need a thermometer in the kitchen -- the tip is senstive, wipes clean with moist sponge in warm soapy water and then tucks away to save battery when not in use. Reads in a moment! This IS worth it.

We've had our Thermapen for almost a year now and use it constantly. It was very pricy compared to other options but worth every penny. It registers a temp so quickly that we tend to use it to ensure all our cooked items are at a healthy temperature.

This is hands down the best instant read thermometer made. Perfect instant accuracy every time! So well worth the investment.

One of my Best Friends in the kitchen! I have two homes. I've purchased a Thermapen Instant Read Thermometer for my second home after spending a year with one in my first. I toted my Thermapen back and forth for a few months, but finally decided it was worth the cost to have one in each home. It reads within 2-3 seconds of opening the oven door. This guy tells me when my bread reaches 210 degrees - No more guessing by color, thump, or time. Perfect bread now every time. I no longer overcook any proteins. No dishes will be overcooked or undercooked from my kitchen again. In fact, now ALL my foods are at the correct temperature when used, whether it is during preparation, cooking, baking, or serving. I wish I had one of these while raising my family. It would have saved many a meals. This little gem has saved me money and heightened my successes in the kitchen.
