Product Description

Forty years ago, we patented the first self-inflating mattress and introduced the world to a new level of backcountry comfort. We're celebrating our anniversary with a limited edition mattress featuring our original logo and colors. The 40th Anniversary Edition mattress may look like a throwback to our first Therm-a-Rest mattress, but it features cutting-edge technology that offers excellent comfort, packability and 4-season warmth. The foam in this mattress is the lightest, most compressible foam we've ever used, allowing greater comfort without additional weight or bulk. Stuff sack and repair kit included.

This was as advertised 2" thick, very light weight for the size, and very comfortable to sleep on!

This product is perfect for its use!
Be aware of the size of the pad - it is pretty small. Depending on how you sleep, make sure it fits your size and needs. If your feet or other parts are hanging over the sides, the insulation is no longer there!
I swapped them for the Large version - the additional weight vs. comfort is worth it for me.

Inflates faster than previous models due to, I'm assuming, new foam core design & technology. I appreciate the two inch thickness for more comfort while package & weight specs are the same as the ProLite Plus. Greater R-Value makes it warmer & insulates better when sleeping on the ground. I can't find a single con with this new Therm-A-Rest + it seems to be as durable as all the other pads in the "Fast & Light" series, especially the NeoAir XLite which, according to reviews, seems to be more puncture prone. This is the main reason I chose this particular Therm-A-Rest pad. Makes most other backpacking self-inflaters almost obsolete!

I got this mat last summer and was swooning over how great it was the first couple of camp nights... very comfortable compared to my former Thermarest and oh so light. However, on the 3rd night I inflated it around 5 pm on a hot Texas night (mid 90s) and left it in my tent til bedtime four hours later. Part of the time, my tent was merely staked and not up. Nonetheless, the head end swelled up into a giant elephantine bulge, making the mat totally useless. There was a warning on the instructions about protecting it from heat when inflated. So, if you get this mat, you probably should wait to blow it up until after dark if it is at all hot in your tent. I've had a number of Thermorests, but believe the fabric/technology must be different to have caused this to happen. Be forewarned!

Packs up small and light for backpacking trips. Really comfortable, I use it for backpacking, car camping and hanging in the living room when the family takes over the couch. I am 5'5 200Lb and the regular is perfect.

It's great for light weight backpacking but it is narrow. It's functional and make sure you do not sleep on any inclines because you will not stay on it long.

Great for scout hikes! Lightweight and comfortable. Worth investing in especially if it's for children. You'll get the best nights sleep possible.

My fiance and I both got one of these, and we love them. They pack small, insulate well, and have held up well on the trips we've taken them on so far.

I had another Thermarest for over 10 years, and it's still going strong; I upgraded only because they now pack so much smaller than they used to.

This was as advertised 2" thick, very light weight for the size, and very comfortable to sleep on! My 20-yr old tent leaked pretty bad in a T-Storm in the Smokey Mtn National Park on the 2nd night of a weekend hike, but this mat kept me and my sleeping bag high and dry out of the puddle forming inside my tent!
