My cats think this item is GREAT, and I love it, because it saves my good blankets. They head straight for the ThermoThrow every time they come in the house. One time I moved it on top of the bureau to clean the floors and they spent the entire time circling it, trying to get up to the top and get on their ThermoThrow. And Amazon has the best price I've ever seen, I keep my eye on it all the time since I know my cats love it so much.

The picture shows this being folded over to cover your cat, but the instructions say do not fold. It is also very thin, so I needed to put something under it to cushion it. My cats do find it warm though, so I gave it three stars.

We loved this heated throw when we first got it. The cats loved to lay on it & keep warm. But the honeymoon was brief. After about 2 months, it stopped working, and just would not heat up anymore. Not good quality.

I was looking for something to help "encourage" my cats to sleep on an old chair and stay off my new couch.
This heated throw worked like a charm.
Now the 3 cats cuddle togther on this throw and leave my leather couch alone :-)
Now, my cats are on the small side, the largest is just 10 lbs, which is why they can fit together on the throw. With larger cats I'd say only 1 or 2 could fit comfortably.
We've only had it for about 2 months so I will review it again later to let you know how i's held up.

I take care of eleven outdoor cats that hang around my house. When it got closer to fall/winter, I knew that I'd need to get them something to keep them warm at night other than just having a large doghouse with straw to sleep in. It gets in the negative numbers here in Kansas, so I definitely wanted a heated bed/blanket to help keep them warm. This throw does the trick. I don't notice the heat when it's on, but the cats sure do. All eleven of them try to pile on it in order to keep warm, and they do all manage to find a way to be on it. Mind you, half of them are less than 5 months old, so that's how they all can fit. It would probably actually only comfortably fit at least five large cats if they snuggle together. However, what's great about this throw is the price for its size. It is quite big, and very close to the price of beds not even half its size. You get a lot for your money. That is why I plan on purchasing another one once all of the outdoor cats can no longer fit on the one I already own. It's not designed to be an outdoor blanket, but it has held up very well outside in their dog(cat)house. It's not exposed to the elements, so I expect that it will hold up for a long time. If you're in the market for a great way to keep your kitties warm while getting more bang for your buck, I highly suggest this throw. Just put it on top of a cushiony pillow or bed, and you'll be all set to keep them comfortable in the cold weather. I'm so beyond happy about my purchase and will definitely be purchasing this blanket again!

I think this is a great product. We bought it because of the adapter so that we could have a warm place in the back of the station wagon for our 21 year old cat in her kennel while we travel and it works great for that. It also is good indoors on top of something soft (as it is not very thick which also makes it great for travel). We have no complaints with the heat level. When a cat is on it it gets very warm but it does not always stay "on" when one is not which saves energy. As someone else noted, one of our cats (we have 5) tends to groom it but when we sprayed it with Feliway she stopped. I am going to order an extra one to have on hand.

When my girlfriend started bringing her cat over, it was driving me nuts. Hair everywhere, jumping on the bed, everything. then I bought this ThermoThrow, and the cat makes a beeline for it as soon as she puts him down. Great investment, and the cat loves it.

Cover is very soft and velvety-my kitties really loved it, but it lasted one year and then stopped working. Expensive heating pad. I went and ordered a second one anyway and once again it lasted less than a year. .... twice ripped off so not again.

This is a wonderful product. We got one for our 21 year old cat to be warm in her crate while we traveled and have since bought several more for our other 4 who do not travel with us. It does not stay hot all the time, just when they are laying on it, which helps save energy. It is not a thick padded blanket so you need something supportive underneath. The thickness makes it excellent for transport however. The adapter that works in cars is great. We have been on 4, 2 day long trips in colder weather and it has worked very well and our at home cats all sleep on them when it is below 70i n the house. Very pleased.

Our house is colder near the windows, so he sits on it and keeps warm as he watches all of the activity outside. Keep in mind the product only gets warm (and not hot, like an electric blanket). Nice product after one month of daily use.
