My cat likes her heated pet bed. However I have mixed feelings towards it. I bought the larger more expensive size thinking there might be more heated surface area but I think the heater units are exactly the same size for the small and the medium size bed. No where in the product page or even the manufacturer's page does it specify the heater pad size. The only real difference seems to be the fleece blanket surrounding the heater pad which is made from cheap material. In the medium sized bed the heater pad only fills about 1/2 the fleeced area. So my advice, buy the smaller cheaper bed.

I decided to buy this heated pet mat over the others available on Amazon because the heating insert inside of it is the largest available for the price range. The heating element does in fact extend the full length of the pet bed, though it's only about half as wide. It does the job though- when it is plugged in, the entire pad feels warm to the touch from the outside. The pad cover is also a softer, furrier texture than it appears in the product image.

Most importantly, my cat LOVES this mat. He seems to spend about 20 hours a day on it. He's getting old and arthritic and tends to get cranky when the weather gets cold. The continuous warmth of this heated pet mat has definitely cheered him up quite a bit.

Very quick shipping, and a great price. Maybe next winter it'll be colder, as I haven't turned it on a whole lot. But the dog likes the mat, and when it's turned on, the heat is very gentle.

This is the best thing I've ever purchased for my 16 year old Chihuahua. Our house is impossible to heat, and our little dog was always cold in the winter when we have to be out of the house. He can't cover himself up in his bed. We would come home and find him shivering in his bed. This heated pad works exactly as advertized. Now we find him stretched out and warm in his bed, when we come home. I wish I had known about this wonderful product years ago!

My dog loves this heated mat! I had been using heating pads, however most recent models have an autoshutoff. This product does not shut off so your pet has nice constant and consistent heat. Couldn't be easier to use, just plug in and you're ready. If you are looking for a heating pad for older pets or for your pets during colder months, this is a wonderful product.

I'm very glad to critique this item. It was VERY deceptively Advertised!!! I needed the PAD for a larger doggie-hut, but settled for its advertised SIZE of 14" X 28". The foam-rubber pad and cover certainly are that size...but NOT THE ACTUAL Heating Pad which is slightly uder 6" by slightly over 20". YES - that is the truth!! I was at a very busy time in my life, and sending it all back would have been MOST inconvenient. I would NEVER order anything else from this COMPANY! I may be wrong - but something I quickly read about their RETURN Process seemed to be one of JUMPING THRU HOOPS. The POINT is - they should NEVER have advertised the MAT at such a size - when it was the FLUFF that made up for the difference NOT the Mat itself.

I bought this for my oldest cat, age 15, but I have 2 others as well. All the cats seem to like the heating pad and take turns sleeping on it. The heating element is smaller than the cover size so buyer beware. I think this is so the cat can take advantage of the soft pad in the cover but not be forced to be 100% on the heat. Two cats can lay on it together but as I said they are only partially on the warmth. It warms nicely and I leave it plugged in all the time. I am very happy with this purchase.

BEWARE! I measured the heating element inside the pad. It's only 10" by 14" instead of the 14" x 28" of the pad.

What a ripoff!

It does not seem to be all that warm to me but my dog immediately took to the map and seems to like laying on it.

This item did not work very well at all. The foam inside ripped and bunched up. The heater only worked for a short period of time. I would advise you not to waste your money on this product.
