The Thermo Scientific HP131530-33Q Cimarec digital hot plate has a 10.25 x 10.25 inch ceramic top plate, and a temperature range of ambient to 400 degrees C that is adjustable in 5-degree increments. The white ceramic top plate provides fast heating and resistance to chemicals and scratches. This hot plate has a digital display and temperature regulation by microprocessor with knob control for consistent, repeatable temperature settings. Its hot top warning light activates at temperatures above 50 degrees C and helps prevent accidental burns. An integrated ring stand mount holds a 1/2" diameter rod (sold separately). It has a cast aluminum base for durability, and a drip edge diverts spills to help protect the internal components. It comes with a detachable line cord and plug. This hot plate is used to heat glassware and liquid solutions for scientific applications.

Laboratory hot plates are electric or gas-fired benchtop appliances that are used to heat glassware or its liquid or solid contents. Stirring hot plates can stir a liquid solution by means of a stir bar that is spun magnetically inside the vessel holding the solution. Hot plates are commonly used in scientific research, clinics, and classrooms.
