This prouct wasn't a let down. Does a great job. My only issues, is when pointing at objects really hot, like the electric heating element on my stove, or a fire. Seems this device locks up around 1071F. You'll have to remove the battery to reset it. I've done this a few times just to see if it was a fluke, or a real issue. Seems I've reached the upper limit. In real life, I don't need this device for anything approaching that heat. The device is accurate to within 1 degree, from what I can tell, and this is good enough for me. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to purchase.

Purchased for light indutrial use and a few weeks in it works fine. Had a little challenge finding the battery compartment (behind rubberized handle. Grasp the top area by the trigger and swing downward, hinge is at the bottom). Has the accuracy we'll need to check motors, gearboxes and bearings.
