Book I: Demonstrates a formulation of thermodynamics based on severely classical ideas and techniques that is adequate for the treatment of equilibrium states and slwly varying steady states in a particular domain. Book II: Is a reprint of Dr. Tykodi's originial Thermodynamics of Steady States (1967) Book III: Consists of reprints of six technical papers (1967-1991) that critique and further develop the ideas of Book II.

About the Author

Ralph J. Tykodi is Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Tykodi taught at the Illinois Institute of Technology from 1955-1965 and at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 1965-1995. He is also the author of over 60 technical papers that deal with nonequilibrium states.
