I bought this bottle to replace a SIGG water bottle and am very happy with it.

I use both, but I find this Thermos design with the flip top much easier to use and more convenient so I drink more water.

I inquired with Thermos to see if they could replace the cap, and they told me they would "sell" me another one.

The bottle is made of 18/8 stainless steel and features a flip lid, as well as flip out ring for clipping to keychains, backpacks, etc. It's also a slim 26 oz bottle, which is more pocket-friendly than the Sigg or Nalgene. It feels as wide as a can of soda.

The lid has a rubber O-ring, which means there will be a nice tight seal, and the push-button flip lid means that you can drink this with one hand.

I've never put anything but water in these, but they warn you to not put carbonated beverages, and say it's ok to put things like milk or juice in. This product is also BPA-free, and does not have a food coating on the inside. If you put cold water in here, expect "sweat". This is not for hot water either, as the single wall bottle will become as hot as your water. (Thermos makes a double-walled version of this that does ice-cold and hot liquids)

The opening is wide enough to get a normal sponge in at the top. The tapered neck makes it hard to clean the rest of the bottle though, but a standard kitchen brush should fit nicely.

In comparison to products like Sigg, I think this is a well designed product at a reasonable price.

I purchased both the ROHO and the Threadless version by Thermos. They are very similar with one big difference, the LID!. For some reason the ROHO version has a low profile lid that is nothing more than an expensive dribble enhancer. I challenge anyone to drinks from this lid and not spill at least one drop on thier clothes. This is unfortunate becuase the Threadless version of this bottle, by the same company has a much better lid design. Since I have both I can say without reservation that you will be much happer buying anything other than the ROHO version by Thermos. I really like the overall quality of this bottle and just with the engineers stopped this design before selling it to the public.

You want to see something really funny? Go to the Thermos website and watch the sales video on the ROHO bottle. The poor girl they hired to demonstrate it almost spills the bottle on here self trying to demonstrate this lid design. You can see she has difficulty with it, but until you try it for yourself you can not imagine something like this actually shipped.

I really liked this bottle, but after only one week of normal use, the cap no longer closed. What good is a water bottle if the cap doesn't close? I inquired with Thermos to see if they could replace the cap, and they told me they would "sell" me another one. It's too bad the design is such that the cap will probably malfunction again, and I will not spend money on something that will just stop working again in the near future.

I've had this bottle for 5 months and the cap no longer seals. I found this out the hard way when a full bottle tipped over in my car and drenched the passenger seat. I like the bottle for the design and capacity, but am really disappointed that it is no longer usable without buying a new cap. I have a Klean Kanteen bottle that I've used for 2 years without any issue.

I bought this bottle to replace a SIGG water bottle and am very happy with it. The SIGG bottles have liners inside, and the liner in mine was chipping off. I really like that, because the Thermos bottle is stainless steel, it doesn't need a liner and so there's no chance of ingesting any synthetic material along with your water. The design is great, it fits into the cupholder in my car, and I take it everywhere with me.

The single drawback, for me, is the design of the cap for drinking. You can easily take the cap off and drink straight out of the bottle, but if you're on the move (in your car, etc.), you need the cap to prevent spills. The problem is that the opening in the cap is too small for air and water to come out at the same time. Result: a glug-glug-glug flow of water, so that when you drink with the cap on, you're swallowing a lot of air along with water.

This is made of steel, and as the other reviewers pointed out, doesn't require a liner like Sigg (aluminum bottles). No liner means a longer life for the bottle. The Sigg aluminum bottles have liners which required special, gentle handling and even then, they chipped on me! The chipping was very annoying, especially since I spent $25+ for a drinking bottle and it only lasted a little over a year. It wasn't worth it, and not environmentally friendly, which defeated the purpose of having it to begin with, for me anyways.

With the steel bottles, I haven't had any issues. I have this bottle with a flip top, as well as a screw top steel bottle (not a Thermos one). I use both, but I find this Thermos design with the flip top much easier to use and more convenient so I drink more water. It's a win-win.

I loved this one so much, I got a second one with a different design. I use one for when I'm out of the house and one for my nightstand by my bed.

Pros: The bottle itself is attractive. It fits in my car cupholder. The bottle doesn't have a rubber gasket like my Sigg bottle did, which should make it easier to keep clean. I like the wide mouth opening for cleaning purposes and for the ability to fit ice cubes through it. I love the flip top on the lid, making it possible to drink from the bottle without screwing the lid off.

Cons: The lid! Yeah, the flip top is a great idea, but when I pop it open to drink from the bottle, I spill water all down myself (with the popped up lid pointed at 12:00 and the pop up button at 6:00, where my mouth is). So, what I do is turn the bottle so that the flipped up lid is either at 3:00 or 9:00 while drinking, and that works. Also, this means you aren't putting your mouth on the same place where you put your finger to pop up the lid, so it seems more sanitary.

All in all, a good bottle, but I wish the lid design was a little better.

Update about a week after using the bottle: If tilted or turned upside down, it leaks around the lid (pours out, actually!) Major flaw, I think.
