I live in an apartment and do a lot of tailgating. This is the BEST grill! I get compliments on it all of the time. No one can believe that it actually does what it claims! It has a big enough grill surface to cook for a party but it is small enough to pack up and take with you. It has become the main grill for home and travel. No one even offers to bring their portable anymore.It heats up very quickly and nothing sticks to the surface. I have used the grill for steaks, burgers, chicken, and to saute mushrooms and onions. I have never used any sort of non-stick agent. It is wonderful! It cleans up with just hot water in most cases! I love it so much that I am buying another one for my father for Father's Day!

I guess it wasn't clear from the images and the text, but when the grill arrived I finally saw that the grill is actually a 'griddle', that is, a ridged cooking surface that completely covers the flame - making my food no different than that I could cook indoors on my stove.. or on a George Foreman.. no flame kissed meat, no mesquite wood chips for flavor.. Other than that glaring fact, it appears pretty well designed, too bad I'd be embarrassed to have my friends discover its true nature and therefore can't really use it in public.

I purchased this grill last summer and it has paid for itself several times over. I have a huge Char Broil Masterflame gas grill and it has been relegated to the storage shed. The Grill2Go eliminates the odious part of cooking outdoors: cleanup! The nonstick finish and closed system means that the grates can be cleaned easily and no grease can come in contact with the flame, thus ensuring no flare ups. I don't use the griddle so I ordered a grill plate to replace it. I would also recommend the carrying case with wheels to help lug the grill around. You can order those at grilllovers.com. You can also pick up a hose to attach a 20lb tank to the unit. The grill is a little slow to heat up and with the closed grill plates, you won't get authentic grill flavor but this is the tradeoff for portability and ease of cleanup. The manual with the grill may not say this but DON'T USE METAL UTENSILS OF ANY KIND! The nonstick surface will scratch easily when touched by metal tools. Cleaning the hood of the grill can easily be accomplished with a few sprays of Simple Green. I really enjoy this product and given the reaction of the many other reviewers, I think that most people who are looking for a grill that is portable, reliable and easy to clean will find the Grill2Go the answer to their grilling needs.
