Thermos Nissan 1-Pint Stainless-Steel Carbonated Bottle

I've been using the 1-pint carbonated bottle for a couple of days and its 1-liter big brother for a couple of weeks now, and have found them to be almost perfect for keeping soda cold and fizzy. Fill them up, drop in a single ice cube, and you'll have cold, non-flat soda for at least eight hours. They come with a double screw-top: the smaller top section unscrews for drinking, and the larger (red section in the 1-pint version) for filling and adding ice. Full-size cubes won't fit without some re-sizing, but the slice-shaped product of refrigerator ice-makers fits perfectly. The drink opening is about 3/4" in diameter, while the fill opening is about 1 1/2" wide. The only slight drawback I've encountered is that it takes a couple of tries to completely fill them from a 2-liter Coke bottle because of foaming, but that problem is common to all stainless-steel containers. The top includes a safety gasket, similar to the safety gasket in some pressure cookers, for those who ignore the instructions and leave the bottle out in the hot sun for extended periods with highly-carbonated beverages. Finally, the bottles are intended ONLY for cold beverages, as use with hot beverages apparently can result in leakage and scalding.

This bottle is attractive, easy to clean, just the right size and best of all, it REALLY works. Carbonated beverages stay carbonated for hours and hours. The contents stay cold and bubbly for what seems like forever, the outside doesn't sweat and it fits in a car or carseat cup holder. I love it and I will be buying several for gifts. If you have any use for a water bottle, this is the one to own.

There is saying that goes, you get what you pay for and in this case it is true. Sure, there are other sports bottle that are less expensive but they do not get the job done correctly. I don't drink soda but I love seltzer water so when I saw that Nissan made a carbonated bottle, I was ecstatic. The 1 pint carbonated bottle is the perfect size, not too big but small enough to fit in a car cup holder.

And for non-believers, the soda, beer or seltzer water does stay cold for hours. I filled up my bottle on a Friday night with ice and seltzer and could not finish the drink and the next day, the ice and seltzer was still in bottle. It had not melted at all.

I have a tried most Nissan products and I would not consider buying any other product when it comes to coffee mug or sports bottle. They are really worth the money.

While looking for a way to have a cold drink without paying obscene prices for water at my university, I stumbled upon this container. At first I did not know what to think about its effectiveness in maintaining a very cold bottle of water, but I purchased it anyway. After receiving the 16-ounce version from Ebay, I quickly realized that my water remained relatively cold for at least 1 day. I was shocked and amazed that such an inexpensive item could maintain such a low temperature for a long period of time. Yet problems occurred. For one, the opening is way too small to fit any kind of regular sized ice cubes, sometimes a metallic taste is observed in the water if not washed for a few days, the rubber around the bottle begins to slip off if you spill water on it (as I have many times trying to aim for that little hole), and finally it is not leak proof. Those are not such grave concerns since I put in extra small ice cubes, try to wash it often, better my aim at small openings, and not keep the bottle upside down. In addition, by not being leak proof I mean that during the day one may notice that the bottle would have some kind of ring of water around the mouth even when closed, but at least the whole thing did not sweat out water just as a regular water bottle would. Nevertheless it is sturdy since I have dropped it several times and have seen no dents or scratches and it is an added bonus for this container to keep soda crisp. For those that want a quick and handy water bottle that is perfect in every way, this is not it, but it comes close. I recommend going for something with a bigger opening and a guarantee to be leak proof, however if the issues above do not seem so dreadful, this bottle will be fine.

This is a great bottle.
My only complaint is that mine came with a large hard-to-remove brightly colored warning label on it... warning not to use it for hot liquids.
No problem, I thought I would just peel it off.
But no, it wasn't that easy as the adhesive was very strong. Soaking it for two hours in hot soapy water did nothing and I had to do two applications of an industrial strength adhesive solvent, some scrubbing and final cleanup.
I guess they may have had some legal problems with people
scalding themselves. But if they're going to 'permanently' apply a label like that then it should show on the picture.
One of the reasons I paid that much for a water bottle is that it looks good.
It also works very good... keeps stuff cold all day.
The directions say not to put in liquids with pulp, as the pulp particles may cause it to leak. This is true. The tiny pieces of pulp get into the lower rubber seal and cause it to dribble down your chin. This was a problem for me, as the main drink I like to bring with me on hot days is lemonade.
But, I found that the dribbling can be avoided by putting the lower cap on first and then filling it through the narrow drinking spout using a small funnel. It's really easy, and well worth the extra little inconvenience.

Excellent bottle!
It even surprised my husband. It really keeps the drinks cold for long time. Yes, I do wish the opening is a tad wider for ice cubes but how well this product works, I'll deal with the minor issues. For those who worry about cleaning, I use a baby bottle cleaner that has a soft sponge and long handle. It will clean just fine.

This is the only product that is designed to keep carbonated drinks cold and fizzy. It works! Put ice in before adding the contents of a soda and it will keep the drink cold all day even in hot weather. And, the carbonation stays in the drink. So, it's nice on a long driving trip to be able to have a refreshing soda any time you feel like it.

this item is just wonderful.. I use mine every day. There is only on bad thin about this product. I wrote the company and they are no longer making this item. I searched every where to find more of them but everyone is out of them and can not get anymore. If you find one buy it up quick.

I carry my Nissan Carbonated Bottle everywhere. It usually fits into my purse, and I don't have to worry about its spilling. If I still have soda in it when I get home, I put the bottle into the refrigerator and fill it to the top the next morning. This bottle is remarkable; the contents of this bottle stay cold for hours, and the bottle pays for itself rather quickly. It's a great buy! I own three of these; I usually fill one for a friend when I'm meeting someone.
