5.0 out of 5 stars The best can "cozy" on the market. Period.
I was on the lookout for a neat little stocking stuffer for my boyfriend, who is an avid canned beer drinker. I have all these ugly little freebie foam cozies in various stages of falling apart, so I suppose I had an ulterior motive.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not all 12oz cans are created equally!
The Good:
I really wanted to like this product, and at first I did. 1. It looks cool. 2. The brushed metal doens't pick up fingerprints. 3. It fits nicely into my cup holder of my car. 4. As the other reviews state it really does keep your product cold, if that is your product is a soda.
The Bad:

I was on the lookout for a neat little stocking stuffer for my boyfriend, who is an avid canned beer drinker. I have all these ugly little freebie foam cozies in various stages of falling apart, so I suppose I had an ulterior motive.

I did a little research on the internet and found an interesting website by a group of presumably college-aged guys - they had done actual experiments using different forms of cozies and measured the temperatures after various times out at room temperature.

The "thermos" branded can insulator scored far and away the best. So I thought, why not? It looks a heckuva lot better than those stupid foam ones (with stupid sayings, like "life's a beach" or "MetalCon 2005"). I ordered two, one for him and one for me.

Well, I brought mine to work as they came before Christmas, and I was anxious to try it out. I drink canned sodas at work non-stop, so I threw my foam cozy away and used the new one.

Holy snit!!! This thing really works. Not only is it really, really cool looking (when you slide a can in, it makes this cool "whoosh" sound) but it works far better than those other things we were using. I've been complimented at least twenty times in the last month on the thing (and I think I've sold some as well!). It's just such a neat device - very small, very light (the insulation is from the vacuum between the two walls).

I cannot say enough good things about these insulators. I don't know that I'm allowed to post websites, so just google "can cozy" and go to the link that says "How to keep a beer cold". It's a riot, and the information's great too!

Now back to my cold soda!

The old adage "you get what you pay for" is so very true in this case. If you like your can drink to stay cold for up to 2 hours this is the hugger mugger for you. Nothing else I have ever tried compares. Yes it is expensive (refer back to sentence #1). For the best results keep in the fridge or freezer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for hot days, June 10, 2008
Yea, well I took mine to Iraq! I bought the Thermos Can Insulator a few years earlier and liked it around the house and on the deck. When I was packing for Iraq, I thought I'd take it just in case and it also made a solid packing container for little stuff for the trip.

130 degree days but the cans were still cold and they stayed that way no matter if I was in the shade, the sun or on missions.

I've been using a couple of these for years. They will keep your drink ice cold for 45 minutes, and cold for 2 hours. Amazing!

This can insulator is perfect. It is so thin that it is barely larger than the can itself, yet it's insulating properties are amazing. The drink is still cold more than an hour or two after opening the can.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great can insulator, March 29, 2011

Love these coolers. I was a little hesitant initially because of the price and the fact that the whole thing is made of metal (no give). Turned out a standard size can fits perfectly slides in and out easily. Would have been helpful to have a hole in the bottom to push the empty can out, but there isn't that much resistance when pulling it out from the lip of the can when it is empty.
Only hitch was that the can rode a little low in the insulator, not giving much room above the cooler to place one's lip without hitting the cooler. We solved this by cutting a circle of insulating foam (about 1/8") and putting in the bottom of the cooler. Now the can sits perfectly for a normal drink!.
Love them, will purchase more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Can Cooler, September 13, 2007
I bought 4 of these 3 years ago at one of my local hardware stores. It is the best can cooler I have ever used. After searching the internet I finally was able to find this to purchase for a friends birthday. It will keep your drink cold a lot longer than any other. Most of the time I would end up throwing out a half can of pop because it would get warm after a couple of hours, I'm not throwing out my pop anymore! It's sleek design have your friends asking where you got it and they want one too. I highly recomend this Thermos product! You won't be sorry, It's well worth the money!

This is the best can cooler we have ever found. It is a little heavy and sometimes holds moisture under the can, but does a very good job keeping contents cold.

The Bad:
So far the couple of different beer cans that I have tried to use with this have been slightly too small so they rattle around inside the insulator and you don't have the superior vacuum insulation effect as with the with soda (and no, i don't drink beer in my car!).
I probably wouldn't have bought this product if I knew that to begin with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps drinks cold AND dry!, December 13, 2011

I purchased one of these a few years ago to help feed my soda addiction in college. I was really nitpicky about keeping my hands dry as I would drink a lot of canned beverages while handling books or my computer. The moisture would get onto my hands, and I just didn't like the feeling of my keyboard or texts getting wet. This is actually the primary reason why I got the can insulator, but of course it does an absolutely amazing job of keeping the beverage cold.

I'm glad to see this back up for sale. I wanted to pick up a couple more as gifts in the past few years but they were hard to find whenever I was searching.

PROS:
- obviously, it keeps your canned drink very cold!
- it keeps your hands dry from condensation that would normally form on the outside of the can in high humidity.
