5.0 out of 5 stars Great solution for gutter cluttering leaves
We live in out in the country surrounded by birch trees where clogged gutters are a fact of life. Had nothing to lose in trying it out and had the whole house done with 8 rolls (less than $20 and your time- bargain!). Relatively easy to insert - only down side is that the mesh needs to be cut in places to get around nails and other gutter fastenings. Some residual leaves...

2.0 out of 5 stars Made in china quality, doesn't do the job
This stuff was very disappointing for me.

I ended up with 2 types of rolls that are labeled the same- half made in the US, half from china. The stuff from china is much thinner and lower quality- it weighs about half as much as the stuff from the US and looks much more likely to sag. I assume they're moving their manufacturing to China, so if you order now...

I assume they're moving their manufacturing to China, so if you order now you're likely getting the cheap stuff.

Second, if you bend it into the gutter as directed then leaves will be trapped between the house and the gutter guard, so water will flow back under the shingles and into the house. Seems like a great way to ruin your house.

To make up for this, I tried to install the stuff up under the shingles but the edges are very rough so that is hard to do. Also, it sags in the middle if you do it this way.

I am going to return this and try again with amerimax gutter guard, which looks better designed. Hopefully second time is a charm.

Relatively easy to insert - only down side is that the mesh needs to be cut in places to get around nails and other gutter fastenings. Some residual leaves get caught in the mesh, but not enough to make this product useless. Most blow away. The gutters are clear and functional without any maintainence in 2 years !!!!

Great deal, cheapest I could find anywhere. Well pleased with these gutter guards. Not the easiest to install, but will work good for a few years. Anything plastic will not hold up in the elements for many years, but the price will get me by for a few years. Installed with a metal roof. No tools needed other than some scissors to cut a few places where the guard would not slide under the roof line.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best rain gutter protection, September 21, 2011

Good quality "American Made" product! Works best and is lowest cost leaf protection system according to Consumer Reports and my previous experience with product. Installation easy and works best with old spike & furrel and similar type installations. Stretch if out and use wire ties to fasten it to the mounting hardware. A double layer works even better and still is a lot less expensive than other gutter covers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a good long term solution, August 19, 2011

These are pretty easy to install (provided you have access to your gutters) but are not a good long term solution to debris in your gutters. I had some success with the first season but by the following spring, they were all wedged down in the bottom of the gutter. Get what you pay for I suppose.

I was attracted to this product due to it's price, and wasn't expecting much. As it turns out, I'm very pleased. It's rugged but still easy to cut, and is very easy to install. I have very narrow gutters (3" wide) and thought it would be a pain (or not work at all), but I just flexed the gutter guard into a dome shape and stuck it straight down into the gutter. At first I was trimming along the edge to make it narrower, but eventually I just used it as it came. For the gutter hangars I just cut out out a strip from the guard to fit over those. Seems very secure, and pushes up against the gutter and shingles to create a good seal and keep the larger debris out. I'm purchasing several more to finish my house with.

I prefer this flexible gutter guard to the hard plastic alternative. Cheap, easy to install and cut to right length.

I haven't really used this one long enough, but it seems comparable to other highly-rated plastic mesh gutter guards. I gave this one a try mostly because it was in stock, came via Amazon Prime, and was priced lower than many alternatives.
