Excellent,
This review is from: These Days (The Virginia Sessions) (Audio CD)
Pat McGee's "These Days" is great. I feel it is really a step in the right direction after the previous studio release "Save Me." It's a little bit back to his roots and it was able to capture the great live sound that they have had for years. Songs like "Elizabeth" and "Maybe It's Time" will not disappoint.

Stick with his older recordings like Revel and From the Wood. This one sounds like Sister Hazel, that's not a bad thing. It just doesn't sound like Pat's old sound.

Pat McGee Band is a talented band, with catchy songs and upbeat melodies! I love just playing Pat McGee on the road or at home when I need some energetic yet touching and uplifting songs. His music and voice are similar to artists such as Sister Hazel, Train, Vertical Horizon, Hootie & the Blowfish, and Virginia Coalition. Just makes me feel good and happy when I listen to their music.
This cd and the Save Me album are my favorite! Especially Elizabeth, Come Back Home, and All Over You (These Days), and Must Have Been Love, Don't Give Up, Annabel, and Now Acoustic version (Save Me). I've heard good things about their live performances - intimate and entertaining - and I actually plan on going in July in Portland, OR. Should be some really good talent!
