These guys are awesome! You will find yourself singing along to all of the songs after you have heard the CD once. RWB plays the type of music that is relatable, authentic, and simply inspiring to hear. The vocals are superb as are the drums, guitar, and other instrumentals. You will literally listen to the CD over and over again and it is the same genuinely uplifting experience each and every time. Do yourself a favor and check this album out. AND, if you ever get the chance, these guys sound just as good live as they do on the CD if not better; I promise you will never see a band that puts more passion in to their music than Red Wanting Blue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Album!, July 27, 2010
This review is from: These Magnificent Miles (Audio CD)
This album is absolutely unbelievable. Start to finish there is not a bad song on the disc. It is so well balanced. Love songs, songs about the trials and tribulations of an up and coming music group, plus some good old fashioned up-tempo rock songs. The album really tells a story from beginning to end. The bonus track at the end of the disc is well worth the few minutes of silence. Overall, the musicianship is superb, and the album is extremely well made for the band being without label support when the disc was recorded. Lyrically these guys are in a class of their own. Easily the best written album I own, hands down. So worth the money!

This review is from: These Magnificent Miles (Audio CD)
This is one of the best CD's I have ever bought. Red Wanting Blue is amazing. You won't be able to stop listening. Scott Terry, the lead singer has an incredible voice and sings with so much passion and energy. If you ever get a chance to see them live - go! You will love it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album and even better live show!, August 24, 2010

Red Wanting Blue is one of those bands (and there are few) that you hear for the first time and wonder, "Why are they not bigger stars?" Their music is fantastic, their lyrics are clever and carry a message and their on stage performance (if you are lucky enough to be near a show) is even better than their albums. I co-owned a venue that booked Red Wanting Blue and it was always interesting to see new faces in the crowd hearing their music for the first time. By the fourth song they were clearly enjoying what they heard and they came back, with friends, for every show after.

When you hear some of the inferior music that is currently on the radio today and compare it to Red Wanting Blue's music, you shake your head. Luckily, we can overcome this problem and buy their latest release 'These Magnificent Miles' nationwide.

Listen to the lyrics of any song on this album and compare them to the fluff played on the radio. Add to them, the musical abilities of the band and Scott Terry's powerful voice and you too will become a fast fan. Great work fellas....great work...

4.0 out of 5 stars A band's tribute to life on the road that everyone can relate to, August 17, 2010
This review is from: These Magnificent Miles (Audio CD)
Red Wanting Blue hail from Columbus, Ohio, but they probably call the road their home. They've been in perpetual motion for 10 years now, taking their classic roots rock and pop to every town that would have them. As you can surmise from the title "These Magnificent Miles", their latest record was written while on the road and tells stories of life on the road. These stories provide us with a rare glimpse into the highs and lows faced by a band touring relentlessly and fighting for survival.

"These Magnificent Miles" was actually released in 2008, but since signing with Fanatic Records (EMI/Caroline) earlier this year, the CD will be released nationally this week. The roots rock atmosphere is palpable on "These Magnificent Miles", helped along by two things. First, the rugged baritone vocals of Scott Terry (who sounds like a cross between Brian Vander Ark of Verve Pipe and Vinnie Dombroski of Sponge) are perfectly suited for Americana - a man with such a warm and earnest voice should be doing nothing else but singing. Second, the record was produced by Jamie Candiloro, who has worked with Ryan Adams, Willie Nelson, and R.E.M., all of whom could easily share a stage with Red Wanting Blue.

"These Magnificent Miles" starts incredibly strong, opening with "Gravity", a veritable tribute to this physical force. Appropriately, the song pulls you into the world of Red Wanting Blue and doesn't let go easily. Next is "You Are My Las Vegas", another catchy tune with imagery that helps make it a favorite to anyone who has been to Sin City. "Where You Wanna Go" is a ballad with a mild country flavor, boasting yet another winning melody in the chorus. Quick to pick things back up, "The World Is Over" sounds like the perfect bar sing-a-long song. The latter half of the record is almost as strong as the beginning, with "U.S. Bumper Sticker" being another favorite. And don't miss the last song, simply entitled "The Band" - it is not about what you might think.

Best tracks: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 12
