I heard Paolo's song Last Request while watching CSI on TV and did a google search for him immediately. With all the crap that I hear on the radio and TV music stations today, I'm so glad I bought this 2 disc set (studio and live disc). His sound is fresh, full of energy, and uplifting. As with most live CDs, the one that came with with this really shows Paolo's true self and sound. Love his raspy voice and accent although sometimes he's hard to understand. Paolo was suppose to open up for Dave Matthews this summer (which I was really looking forward to), but cancelled so he could record a new CD. Definately buy this CD!

Paolo Nutini is the man. The music is simple, straight forward and enhances his voice. Which is not only beautiful, but interesting. I decided to buy this CD or CDs because it is a compilation of all of his music plus another CD of the songs done live. He's such a freak, his live performances are somethin else. I very rarely buy CDs or even download music. But this I had to have. This music is worth the money and since he's up and coming.. he deserves my money rather than ripping it off the net!

I'm reluctant to write a review, because selfishly I want to keep Paolo and the boys to myself!!! I had the good fortune to meet them at a private concert in March 2007 and have seen them in concert twice (the second I traveled by plane to see them) - one word PHENOMENAL! Definitely get this live album, and the bonus is you also get the original released album. You will not regret your purchase!

What do you get when you blend a Scottish boy with an Italian name, throw in a gravelly Rod Stewart voice and stir in an interesting turn of phrase? PURE GENIUS. If you haven't listened to Paolo Nutini yet, you should. In a sea of look-alike, sound-alike musicians, he stands out from the crowd. And his band's pretty good, too!

My rave is purely for the live version, I think I'll make the studio version into a coaster. I don't know too much about Paolo at this point, but it seems to me that you get the real him in the live version, which is original and fantastic. The studio version sounds like more of the same. That sound that everyone is emulating today. Give me something original! That's what you get with his live album. I'd love to see him in concert, and I wish the record companies would leave the artists alone and let them do their own thing instead of making them sound like other hot artists. That said, the studio album is fine if you like "that" sound.

The artist has brought a new genre of smooth jazzy type charisma to the music industry, the best thing yet is that he's from the Scotland, UK, undiscovered talent is not long shadowed by the overseas 'considered to be rivals'. His name would suggest a smooth jazzy Italian pop star, when in fact he is a soul-influenced adult alternative singer, after being discovered at 18 and now in his early 20's he has developed to the likes of all. Check out 'These Streets' album. It's fantastic.

I heard Paolo on fx radio. I thought he was an old soulful Brazillian singer. To my surprise he is 20ish, hot and amazing. I love this CD....My 7 year old also loves to sing New Shoes. This guy has soul. He is my new favorite...I would have jumped on a plane to see him open for Zepplin in London had I found out about it in time!
